Just wow, we had fantastic seats, Celine was amaizng but the crowd were a bit bad... even though there was 80.000 of us sometimes it just felt as it only a 100 of us were up singing along, Celine was on top form, her crying after My Love was so touching, I must say I was a bit dissapointed with the stage, it was very simple, lights, screen and the band, it could have been a lot more effort while! My highlights were 'I'm Your Angel' 'Think Twice' and of course the song, my song lol 'My Heart Will Go On' she wore a long black dress for this and was just an amazing atmosphere during this song at last lol, most people were up singing along and everyone looked to the back of the stadium and there was a helicopter hovering over the stadium with its flashing flights stopping in the air to watch Celine... some said to me after it was there to pick her up... I shall report back more properly tomorrow when I'm not so tired! But my first time to see her and AMAZING, It was everything I expected it to be & more!

PS: Some smartass made a very rude comment to Celine, Celine was talkin about how today was a very important day in Ireland because of the laws and stuff signing a treaty to stop these nuclear bombs and stuff... Celine had said 'Today is a very very important day for Ireland & the world... you know why?' and some drunken fool shouted really loudly 'because you ate a burger?' and you could tell she heard it... anyways...

The only songs I can remember not a lot of people singing along to were SOL, IOM, Mans World and PQTME...People were definitely screaming along to all her oldies

And how dare that fecking eejit shout something like that at her!! Do you really think she heard?

I was waiting for so long, for a miracle to come...

Am I the only one who finds the burger comment funny?

As if she actually cares.

She cried again? Seriously? Man!

Glad you had fun though! I was gonna say something else but I forget what it was.

Oh yeah- what did the burger comment mean? Did she really have a burger or is it just random?

i dont think it was fully sold out and i wonder re the numbers as a lot of blocks were not even available to buy and remained empty.....i thought it was a bit flat to be honest( the crowd)..i cant fault celine at all she gave it all she had but ildivo were a bit of a cold warm up act so the crowd was not that hyped ....yes they sang along to some songs and yes celine received standing ovations it just felt a bit flat.... her lansdowne gig was better and having seen the show in bercy in the round and a smaller venue ...it was much better there!....also its a pity the duet with il divo did not happen ...that would have been very special so overall dublin was good ....but celine was fantastic!

oh my god what a show!! I'm on my phone so won't post a long review. We were sat looking down on the crowd and stage and it was a fantastic show. Before the concert we wen to the fitzwilliam hotel andeaited, and waited. Nothing. So we left and walked past onethat was close by and rene was just coming out! It was only James and I there so although we didn't get a picture of us with him, we talked to him for a minute or 2. He was such a gentleman, and I told him I was from the DVD and he said he will tell celine I was here!! Anyway. Concert was great, I'm sure the helicopter was there to film for the DVD. And river deep was so full of energy! Everyone was up!!

We went to the clubs and bars after and guess who walks in, the dancers! So I had a little chat with Aaron ;-)

Fab night!!! Thanks rene!!!

I have pictures and video. But I'll upload when I'm home on Monday!!!

Omg the concert was AMAZING!!!

I thought Celine sounded unbelieveable the whole way through.

It was a bit Vegas-esqe in the beginning i suppose but it was fantastic anyway. I would have liked to have heard ANDHC but apart from that i was happy. The queen stuff went down a real treat, at least it got everyone on their feet. (We got told to sit down during I'm Alive and there wasn't even anyone directly behind us!)

I really couldn't believe just how emotional she got at 'My love'. Her voice even started to shake a little at the very end cause she was really crying. Aww and she mentioned Ireland and Dublin having a special place for her and all that.

Beforehand I was really expecting she'd do 'I believe in you' with Il Divo but it was only way later on when we we're having a drink afterwards that we even realised she hadn't. That's how good she was!

I don't know if anyone took a look around them towards the end of the night when it was getting dark but the stadium looked amazing. We were up near the front and round about the time she was singing 'RDMH' and the Queen stuff i glanced behind me. It really was an unbelievable sight!

QUEEN of the ballads Celine Dion held court before a sea of 64,000 fans at Croke Park last night as she belted out the melody of hits that have made her a household name. It was ten years since the Canadian singer last played in Ireland and her legions of admirers were making the most of it as they travelled the length and breadth of the country for the sellout concert. She was supported by the opera world's answer to the boyband, Il Divo, who took to the stage to rapturous applause.

Celine and her husband Rene Angelil flew into Dublin on Thursday and have been staying at the Shelbourne Hotel. She was photographed leaving the hotel by a side entrance at around 3.30pm yesterday. The singer obliged a waiting fan with an autograph and a bank of photographers with a picture before being whisked off to rehearsals at Croker. It was a fond return for Dion as it was in Dublin that she won the Eurovision 20 years ago, a move which helped propel her career into the showbiz stratosphere.

Tickets for the gig sold out in record time, although concert promoters MCD released a limited number of extra tickets a few days ago. A major crowd and traffic management plan was in place around the stadium last night for this, the first of four concerts to be held there over the coming weeks. Around 150 gardai policed the concert with another 400 stewards on duty.

So the song "Shadow of Love" was included in the setlist as it is not performed in every concert? Shadow of Love has been performed at every concert since the tour began, with the exception of Antwerp and Paris. Other than that, we know the song is a regular on the setlist!

Thanks Thomas...

Do we have confirmation about Fade Away not being included? And if so, was it replaced with another song or not...?

iPod Most Played List

The Power Of Love (several versions) - Céline Dion

The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack

Si dieu existe - Céline Dion & Claude DuBois

Frankenstein - Antony & the Johnsons

In Some Small Way - Céline Dion

Bird Gerhl - Antony & the Johnsons

Le blues du businessman - Céline Dion

Exactly how many people were there? Some reports are saying 83,000 and some saying 64,000. It seems from the photos that the concert was not in the round?

Did she sing A New Day Has Come? I can't remember lol... don't think she did and there was a photographer following her around on stage through the whole show so there shoulda be loadsa pics online by now, I'll post mine later! :) AMAZING, still beeming!

She didn't do Fade Away which I was dissapointed about. I was really looking forward to it.

I have to say the crowd was shockingly awful. Really really awful. The Team Céline section seemed to be the only part that was actually attempting to have a bit of excitement but everyone else just wasn't bothered.

She was brilliant though.

If he was on the actual stage then he was the official photographer, and those pics are used for promo purposes and for the tour books etc. So the chances are we won't see those pics until they get published, if they're used at all. Still, more press pics may surface over the course of the weekend.
