edit: always seem to put sand when I mean sang... Funnily I actually noticed I put sand then corrected it... only I put sand again!

Hey all. i'm new here but seeing as I was at the concert tonight and you're all looking fo info I thought i'd post!! It was my first time seeing Celine as I was only small when she came here last. I was so close to the front and she did not disappoint all my expectations of what she would be like live!! She was AMAZING!!!!!! Totally rocked Dublin and the 80,000 crowd went mental for her! Highlight was when she sang My Love as she got so emotional and cried at the end!

The concert was over at 10pm after Celine started at 8.30. It goes without saying that it was excellent but she didn't sing The Prayer with anyone and nothing with Il Divo. I love Il Divo but despite their magnificent voices they had more of a lullaby effect on the crowd than a warm up effect.

 

Celine Rocked though!!!!......just wanted to go give her a big hug when the tears were flowing during My Love.

Yeah it was a huge crowd but the stadium was very weirdly set out. There were huge portions of unsold seats at the back and the back one third of the pitch had no seats....so even though there were thousand there at times it looked like a lot less......but still very very very cool.

Yeah thats all she did from taking chances. They were however done very well so where most people may not have heard them before they might now go buy the album.

I agree....my mum could not stand her before and only came to the concert as the rest of us Dad included were going....now she is a fan and wants to borrow the CD. She adored My Love and all the golden oldies of course

And OMG, is she crying EVERY time she sings "My Love"?? I've been to 4 concerts so far and each time she cried at the end of this song.... I found it really touching but now I'm starting to think it's just acting........

Krakóww in Poland has 60 000 tickets on sale as well and so does/did Amsterdam.

These are all the 2nd biggest shows but Dublin tops them all!

I did however almost commit murder at the concert. I had two women and their drunk husbands sitting behind us. The husbands seemed to find it hilarious to yell out random comments and clap during the bits where Celine was singing "quietly" you know what I mean and the wives were even worse. Despite one of them declaring " I have to be the biggest Celine fan here" she didn't know any of the songs from Taking Chances and prceeded to talk out load with her friend throughout them!!!!

 

So frustrating.....and insanely annoying.

 

Oh and when Celine hit one of her top notes the eejit also delcared " Oh I am a fabulous singer but I don't think even I could hit that note"....having listened to her attempt to sing along I doubt she could hit any notes.

 

Also a friend of mine was working backstage so when I met her she said " oh Celine walked past me earlier with her husband and her very cute little Daughter.....she couldn't believe it was a boy when I told her

 

Oh and re the My Love crying.....I had the same thought.....my sis was like aww....and I was initially then I commented to my mum....hey not only can she sing she is a fab actress....look at the tears"...must be exhausting for her though

Tonight was my first time ever seeing Celine in concert, and all I can say is that it was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Celine was AMAZING!!! The atmosphere in Croker tonight was brilliant! The crowd went wild when she came on.

80,000 people singing along at the top of their lungs - SAVAGE!

 

Thw Queen songs - brilliant idea everyone loved it!

 

RDMH - Had the whole place up dancing and going mad!

Yeah, great actress she is, indeed! She proved it many times already and now she's proving it again perfectly showing emotions in "My Love"!! The only thing that makes me concerned is that she's doing it EVERY time she sings this song - that makes it obvious for me it must be acting.

Despite of this though - she's acting perfectly and you can really believe these are true tears and real amotions! Amazing!!! One more talent sticking in our 'petite fille'!! :wub:
