I just noticed that on iTunes Greece, Skies of LA is #24 well ahead of TC which is now #49.

I was very surprised about that.

I just received the "Taking Chances" Australian single, and the I-Soul Extended Remix of the song is AMAZING! They should have done a radio edit with this instrumentation, and it would have been genius. 100000% better than the original track IMO.

On UK Itunes today "Alone" rises to #61 whilst "Taking Chances" drops to #86. There's a very strong chances "Alone" will make it into the official UK charts on Sunday!

To davidh: I agree with your observation about the people's preference for her bombatic loud vocals. Who knows, things would have been different if Alone was the introductory single instead of TC which presented in a different vocal light. No matter the format, be it RNB or soft rock or pop, every Celine Dion song released as a single should have those bombastic vocals bec. that's what people expect of her and that's what makes her beyond comparison. What's very telling is that most iTunes downloaders are in the younger age category and yet they're into Alone.

taking chances does have huge soaring vocals, but maybe not as over dramatic as people expect and like her for. Perhaps as critical people are of celines bombastic style, it also what people love about her because shes among a select few who can reach those levels, and is still capable of doing so at the age of 39.

As i was watching her taking chances performance on oprah and today show, i got goosebumps as she performed the high 'say' notes, thats not to say i dun like the new direction of the album, personally love it, but not as exciting as her 90s stuff.

OMG! I missed last week's UK Top 40 countdown with Fearne and Reggie, so I just opened the Radio Player to listen to it just to hear the comments and of course Celine debut at number 40, but they did not play the song!!! All they did was joke about Fearne meeting Celine during X Factor week, and how she wouldn't stop talking! Fearne said she was a lovely lady, and all the while they spoke about Celine (a miserable 6 seconds), "Taking Chances" was playing in the background. Then, they jumped to "Worried About Ray" by The Hoosiers, which has been for many many weeks on the chart, and it was fully played!!
