After taking 3 months to get there how can any one say they were expecting more??? This is fantastic. Non of us were expecting the Hot 100 at all

However ALONE hasnt even been released properly and it is 19 places higher on the top digital songs than "Taking Chances" on its first week of release. I know a lot of people dont think it is a good choice but I fear ALONE is our chance of a big seller for Celine

finally some good news regarding her commercial success . let's see - she is #26 on the digital chart this week which is why she debuts at #54 - it means it's not gonna be easy for her to climb alot...i read here that TCH went down a bit on ITUNES from #18 to #20...it's still gonna be very hard for her but it's a great first step and it's all thanks to celine - she did everything on her own as always - that's the direct result of her endless TV appereances

 

Let's pray her appereances on AMC and on "the view" will boost the downloads , not to mention her performance on DWTS later on...

If TC has debuted at no. 54 in the Hot 100, it's all thanks to Celine's promo campaign. Yes! Yes! A spot in the top 30 next week would be a nice achievement. Oh well, I gave up a few weeks ago but now I just might have to resume requesting this song 100x daily in the Z100 website. ha ha ha

 

And I agree with you, boyblackuk! "Alone" is a hit waiting to happen in Europe and American AC. The CD version of this song just blew me away . It all sounds new!

Well ALONE is selling because it's the only other song she performed from the album other than Taking Chances. What if she had performed Eyes on Me or Fade Away?? It would have blown up the charts!!! But just wait... Celine hasn't said her last word YET!!!

Taking Chances single is a Top 10 hit in Canada (biggest sales gainer on the chart, going from 28 to #10)!!!

It's #1 on AC chart in Canada!!!

And it's #54 on Billboard's Hot 100!!!

And also on Billboard POP 100 chart, new at #35!!!!!

 

Doesn't seem like a flop to me...

the only thing that sucks is that starting today, most AC stations are going to all holiday music, which means airplay will decrease dramatically. If the song had been released just a few weeks earlier, she may have done better on the AC billboard chart, but I'm not complaining, I'm just saying it could have done better if not for the holiday music.

A day after debuting at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 with "As I Am" (J), Alicia Keys assumes control of the Billboard Hot 100 with "No One," which inches up from No. 2. The track sold 210,000 downloads, an 88% increase from last week, and remains No. 1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for a sixth week.

 

On the Hot 100, "No One" trades places with Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss" featuring T-Pain, which has been No. 1 for three weeks. Timbaland's "Apologize" featuring OneRepublic holds at No. 3, while newcomer Flo Rida's "Low" featuring T-Pain continues to climb 6-4, a week after rocketing from No. 64.
