I thought I would be disappointed not to see more songs from D'Elles and 1F4T but I wasn't....

The show was absolutely fantastic! I was at three shows in the UK and last night's performance was best. The crowd were amazing! I don't think I sat down for a single song... there was so much energy!!! It was incredible!!

And Céline looked really excited to be back on stage and she really was giving it her all. My Love and All By Myself were the best I've seen them!

I wish people wouldn't complain so much about the setlist, and certainly not until they've attended a show because nothing beats the experience of watching Celine perform, regardless of the songs she sings! There are thousands of people she has to please night after night so of course she has to sing the standards. And remember that Celine is not superwoman!! She can't be expected to have a different repertoire for every country, or every continent. Changing a few songs from place to place is feasible but is it really possible to change the show so drastically: the dancers need to learn their routines, the musicians need to learn their parts and that's before Celine who would need to feel she could master the songs. There just isn't enough time for stuff like that.

Yes, I would have loved to hear On s'est aime a cause, I would have died if she had sung Le blues du businessman, but I think it is only fair not to expect too much, especially when the show as it stands must be so very demanding on all involved.

I for one thoroughly enjoyed last night's show... Possibly my best Celine concert yet!!

Couldn't agree more...

I think all should be lucky that she has 2 sets on the World Tour... Not many artist have seperate playlists for French & English spoken countries... I think everybody should be happy that she has several French songs in the list... Remember folks, it's the "Taking Chances" World Tour, not the "D'Elles" World Tour and neither the "1 fille & 4 types" World Tour... With the World Tour she is actually promoting the Taking Chances album, the first album since years with some publicity...

Allthough she is a French Canadian women the most of her songs are in English... English is also the world language which most of us can understand. I know that French people are thinking right now: but hey, French is also a World language... I know that but if there is 1 language which can be understood in 90% of the World then it is English... Even in France is English the second language learned at school (or at least used to be).

So I admire her to make some changes for the "French" lap of the tour... It's nice of her to had some French songs into the list to please the French people...

But it seems that even that isn't OK for everyone... I don't know which she could do to make things right for several people her? Maybe the whole tracklist must be in French?

So, just enjoy the gig and be pleased to see her again touring after several years (5) of her staying in Las Vegas, NV...

Just my 2 cents ;)

So Celine will go to Cannes.... :D

 What???

Celine and hubby Rene Angélil are set to catch a couple of movie premieres during the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival before the Canadian chanteuse continues a string of sold out shows (six of them to be exact!) at the Palais Omnisports.

Things may change of course before Sunday and it is the final date so we'll have to wait and see. If we do get the same show I'll still have a blast.

I hope it's not the final date because I have tickets to see the show in Paris on May 27th which is next Tuesday. :flowers:

Thank you for the pics and videos! :in_love: I was a bit shocked when I saw the setlist. I expected Céline to sing just a couple of English songs and I thought she'd perform many songs from D'elles and 1F&4T. I really hope they change the setlist for the other shows in Paris!
