My feeling is also, that it's kinda retrospecion... I missed the tour in 1999 so it's great for me to hear some old songs live now but, oh well, let's drop those which are just playback and not live and replace them with fresh stuff - for instance from "D'elles" as for Paris!!!

this is weird b/c if theyre shooting the DVD in French and English shouldn't they have different shows?...

maybe they will change it and add some more in the next few days b/c its almost pointless having 2 different DVDs for very similar shows

The setlist is exactely the same as Antwerp on 14th and 16th... The only difference is that in Antwerp she sang "My Love" after "Alone" and not after "Je sais pas".

I'm SHOCKED she didn't perform "Tous L'or des Hommes" ....it was HUGE in France.......and only 1 track from D'elles......no Immensite or A cause? Is she crazy?

As all of you I can't believe that she didn't perform more songs from D'elles or 1F4T, that is so sad!!! There are so many great songs on those albums...I'm definitely glad I didn't decide to see Celine in Paris....I would have been disappointed for sure

omg, it seems to me , that nobody is happy about the first french concert, maybe it is that Celine is trying to please everybody, and has pleased no one......arhhhhhhh..I am sorry for those who are not happy, but I like the tracklist.

Dont get me wrong, the tracklist is fine for a normal standard concert, but for a show in Paris (or France) certainly more French material and more material from her latest French albums was expected. This isn't being unreasonable. Artists usually go on tour to promote their most recent material, you would've thought that in her French shows Celine would've showcased her latest French songs.

Plus D'elles is selling better in France then TC is.....MUCH better......they could even drop "Alone" and replace it with a song from D'elles like A Cause or On S'Est Aimé à Cause

Its very evident they are not interested in pleasing fans but rather promoting their biggest money maker.....which would be the english album......

 

 

If she does this in Montreal there will be an outbreak......

Yeah.... Don't get me wrong too... I agree with Shaun, this tracklist IS really nice but why on Earth in France?? People in France are waiting for FRENCH songs mainly and for example me, I bought the tickets for the shows in Paris because I expected them to be different than those in Germany, Amsterdam etc. etc.! And because I most of all adore her French songs!!! The songs from "D'elles"

 

This 50/50 tracklist was perfect for Antwerp where Belgium is about half French-speaking and half Flemish. It was a perfect tracklist to find a compromise between those two.

 

But in Paris?!!.... I will be quite disappointed if the tracklist remains this way on Saturday and Sunday...

Why do you guys say the list isn't that different from other shows??? She sings 8 songs in French while she usually sings only one!! That's a bit of a difference I would say...

 

I don't think she could sing a lot more in French because that would be a totally different tour and she would have to rehearse everything all over again... A bit difficult to prep two shows while doing a world tour. There is no big act out there who prepares two different shows... So give Celine so slack...

 

But I do agree that she should sing more songs from D'Elles... That's a little crazy not to promote it. It didn't sell that well and yet she's doesn't sing anything from it. Now THAT's strange...

 

Can't wait to see the show on Saturday!!

Yet again another moment in Celine's career where her management (and yes - herself) has totally ignored common sense. She has two fairly recent French albums that she couldn't properly promote whilst in Las Vegas, and now that she can she and her management have a total "blah" demeanor about the whole thing. It's pathetic.

 

I seriously wish that "Love Can Move Mountains" would get yanked and have "Femme comme chacune," "A cause" "Tous les secrets," or "Ne bouge pas" replace it. Take "Alone" out and replace it with "Je ne vous oublie pas," "Contre nature" or "Immensite." I really don't know where their heads are anymore. And if she's going to do more English songs than French why in the world not promote the OTHER recent English albums? Put "Ten Days" into the tour and have the original artist join her. Put "Naked" or "Reveal" into the tour. Heck, even "In Some Small Way" could work if they included it as part of a ballad medley.

 

I realize this is only the first night of the French leg of the tour, but that still doesn't make it logical or "right" to do things the way they were done tonight. To me it simply shows, as harsh as this sounds, laziness, unoriginality, and no creativity whatsoever.

OMG, don't even get me started on the flippin' Queen Medley and the whole "Soul Medley." I love Barnev, don't get me wrong, but I am paying close to $200 per ticket to hear Celine sing and not him. I could probably deal with ONE of the medlies as was done for the last tour when she included a short Bee Gees Medley (although why "Immortality" wasn't included before or after this is beyond me).
