well one thing is for sure is that, Celine will never ever please everyone.....also I dont that everyone that goes to the shows in Paris is French anyway, so I think that maybe this is a good mix, also who says that Celine chooses the songs maybe its not up to her, maybe its Rene's choise.

I hope they will add more French songs in the coming shows, especially for filming the DVD...

If not, there will be no difference at all in the French one and the English one :ninja:

I thought I would be disappointed not to see more songs from D'Elles and 1F4T but I wasn't....

The show was absolutely fantastic! I was at three shows in the UK and last night's performance was best. The crowd were amazing! I don't think I sat down for a single song... there was so much energy!!! It was incredible!!

And Céline looked really excited to be back on stage and she really was giving it her all. My Love and All By Myself were the best I've seen them!

I wish people wouldn't complain so much about the setlist, and certainly not until they've attended a show because nothing beats the experience of watching Celine perform, regardless of the songs she sings! There are thousands of people she has to please night after night so of course she has to sing the standards. And remember that Celine is not superwoman!! She can't be expected to have a different repertoire for every country, or every continent. Changing a few songs from place to place is feasible but is it really possible to change the show so drastically: the dancers need to learn their routines, the musicians need to learn their parts and that's before Celine who would need to feel she could master the songs. There just isn't enough time for stuff like that.

Yes, I would have loved to hear On s'est aime a cause, I would have died if she had sung Le blues du businessman, but I think it is only fair not to expect too much, especially when the show as it stands must be so very demanding on all involved.

I for one thoroughly enjoyed last night's show... Possibly my best Celine concert yet!!

why the hell she sang Tout l'or des hommes and on ne change pas only once? and in Antwerp? it's so strange i hope they will add more! LCMM should be definately out! JNVOP should be after PQTME as well...

well the show was way too long! It was more then 2 hours I believe, so that's why they cut the songs back, but it's a real pity that these two gems had to go... the reason TLDH was cut is (I THINK) because the crowd didn't really responded to the song... and that's because they used acoutique guitars, instead of electric guitares, that would definatly spice up the song and make people stand up! the ending was sooo great! with Céline kicking in the air! :wub:

The concert was in The Bercy Stadium...so it's a outdoor concert...wasn'T it raining and quite cold during the concert?

Bercy is a hall, similair to Antwerp Sportpaleis or Vienna Stadthalle - no problem about rain there, hehe!

I really enjoy how Marc sings "J'irai ou tu iras" with Céline. I have to say that I will always love JJG as a composer - his songs (not only those for Céline - also those for himself and for other artists) are just the BEST but I'm not a big fan of his voice either, hehe...

As for the whole DVD talk... I wrote about it some months ago already that's almost for sure (the unofficial info was from the record company) that they WON'T film the French DVD in Paris. My guess would be Montréal. So I suppose we can expect more different shows there and not in Paris.

Although, that's really sad from my point of view as I can't go to Montréal and I really hoped for, let's say, 80%-90% French show in Paris...

As for the crazy "fans" - i experienced them very well in Belgium so sadly I am not surprised at all... Still I feel really sorry for René-Charles... I must to think many times that that little boy doesn't has an easy childhood with all those buzz around his famous Mommy and as we all know, there are a lot of insane people out there...

well I hope they keep this setlist for Nice too, Im bringing a friend who has never seen Celine live. so I think the songs are great for a first time experiance.....and besides everyones perfect setlist is different anyway.

There was no problem taking cameras in (at least not through the door I entered) They have a superficial check of bags but if you have a camera inside your coat pocket or under something in your bag then there's no problem.

The Paris show started later than the UK one. The support act came on at about 8:15pm and finished about 8:45pm. Celine started at 9pm and the concert finished at 11pm.

Well I'm going on Sunday and I can't wait. I don't really care that it's more or less the same show I saw at the MEN as that was amazing but....

I did book these tickets thinking that the show would be much more different. I mean she has got two new records out in France to promote--D'Elles and of course the newer one TC. So I did expect more tracks from the D'elles record or even more French hits (hardly a big ask is it?). In fact when I've been telling everyone that I'm off to see Celine in Paris I always add it's going to be totally different show.

Things may change of course before Sunday and it is the final date so we'll have to wait and see. If we do get the same show I'll still have a blast.

TLDH and ONCP were well responded! and even if there weren't so why not try with Parisian audience? I think that it's hard to say where the concerts will be recorded... if the french one in Montreal an English one should be somewhere in europe and if French one in Paris the English one in America... because it's also certain that they won't use the same costumes! even if there will be really more French songs in Montreal for the record why not use them as well to promote in France? I don't know what is all about especially the tourbook, firstly turkey, secondly those songs which weren't sung... Maybe they have already recorded some concert in Africa due to this symbolic 'start'... this tour has many mysteries

I fully agree. We should be thankful she is on tour again after being in Vegas for 5 years. And who knows we will get a few changes later in the week.

I am completely bummed I couldnt attend any of the shows in Paris but I am still going to Amsterdam which I cant wait for :wub:

Hi Tracy, the show really was great. I was with another member of this forum and it really is a treat to share the experience with other genuine fans. Unforunately, we didn't meet Celine at her hotel. We headed there after the show and were surprised to see that the crowd was very small. There were some French fans and some fans from Italy. People kept coming over to say she was already insdie sleeping but this was hard to believe. These people did not seem very reliable. Fans had been waiting before midnight and I don't think Celine could have made it back in less than an hour. So we waited. But like I said, the crowd was small and there were no photographers so that was a bit strange. In any case, we left before 2am. Apparently it is easier to catch her in the afternoon before the show rather than afterwards.

We did, however, meet Aaron (one of the dancers) after the show. He was by himself so I didn't think it was him at first. But we went over and had a photo taken.It was all a bit surreal for me and I was still on a high after the show... Just hope I didn't make a fool of myself! He was really, really friendly. He chatted with us for 10 minutes and told us how great it is to work for Celine. He really didn't seem put out one bit, which was nice.

So, thanks Aaron for taking the time to talk to us. It was very generous of you... and it was very nice to meet you!

As for Tuesday, I really can't wait. I have a feeling I will be sat by one of the ramps so hopefully I'll get as close to Celine as others have in the past. Last night Celine gave a high five to one of the girls near the ramp, and she was visibly moved!

Look forward to meeting you next week! Do you have any plans to try to meet Celine?
