It's weird how so many of you think her last few albums were flops, and still, she sold some 25 million albums since 2004, when she was awarded Diamond Disc at World Music Awards for 175 million. Aghh nooo!!! THE BIGGEST FLOP EVER!!!

 

Look to Nelly Furtado! She was one of the best selling artist on 2006! Nowadays, with Loose, she solds about 6 million CD...

 

The biggest Celine flop (for some of you) was Miracle or One Heart.... The first one, solds more than 5 Million albums on 2005, but it was a amazing Book which wasn't count... Yes! A big big flop!

 

The second one, One Heart. More than 8 million albums on 2003! 8th world wide best selling album on 2003! yeeees! another flop!

 

D'ELLES.... I don't know the sellings this week... But you can be sure... THE BIGGEST FLOP EVER!!!

Charts are not just about fans. Fans only can't make any artist #1 on the selling charts, there must be a good demant among general public and that's why some promotion is needed.

 

We, fans, don't need promotion but general public need promotion to notice the release of a new album.

Also, people associte the idea of a good singing voice with Celine Dion. People know the woman can sing...so people will buy her records, whether they are hardcore fans or not!

well in most cases...celine's fans however CAN do that i think...and those albums maybe sold a lot of copies...but...only cause its celine dion NOT

because the audience or radio stations loved one or more songs from the album...like in "Loose" by Nelly Furtado which has so many hits in it

Forbes did not mention that in their selection of Celine on their website.

However, I wrote Forbes a short email, and when VH1 produced the Forbes Women in Entertainment special, that's when the information went on broadcast.

When it comes to Celine Dion. I know that her albums will sell like hot-cakes. And the funny thing about this that is, I like most of you; are the main reason for this reaction. All it takes is for someone to tell me that there is a new Celine album being sold at the store, and I'm gone like Sonic the Hedgehog on speed. Dashing my way to the nearest music store, or getting it on line. So I could hear that sweet, sweet voice of Celine's blasting my ear-drums as I speak. In the words of Golum . Does someone has the number of sales for teh first week. According to Rene Angelil, the sales for the first week at enornous (fulgurant in french)

Amazon means nothing. Don't look at Amazon to be the barer of whether or not the album debuts at number one in France.

 

I hope it does, but 'classique' artists don't make number 1 as often as they should.

 

Celine in France...she should debut at no. 1. But will she? Let's hope.
