i'm really suprised rene agreed to such thing . the message here is that madonna is the real queen and that's what everyone will think while hearing this song - all the others r doing background vocals to the queen .

now i truely hope it will flop so not many people hear it - very embarrassing for celine , the best selling female artist of all time who is still treated as a d-list singer and not doing anything about it

celine can do charity but she should do it her own way - she can give money if she wants to instead of recording a song where she is the background for the queen like all the other singers . it doesnt have anything to do with charity - it has everything to do with the fact that people got used to the fact that celine would never say "no" no matter what and that's why some of them treat her this way .

celine can record an entire album and give all the money to charity , she can arrange a simillar project herself or she can just ask to get more lines in the song - what's so wrong about her demanding to be involved more if she is already doing it?

Embarassing for Celine? No. Not likely! It might cause embarrassment for you, Shai, but that's your problem. And the problem of those individuals who somehow manage to convince themselves that Celine not taking control in a song would have any impact on her career or her reputation. And to wish it to flop so that no one knows what part she played? Shameful beyond words. If Celine lends her name and her voice to something and because she did there's a chance to earn some real money for charity then everyone should be standing behind her and supporting the cause. Of course she could give money to charity (like she has done in the past) but where's the impact in our homes? You have to get the message across and keep getting it across and a charity single is a perfect way. We get a song with artists we like and we do some good at the same time. and that fact, that Céline and Sarah are in one song (eventhough it's for charity bien sûr), is even more debateble, because I always believed that Sarah doesn't like Céline at all! I'm really curious how their voices will bland in together!!

Well I love Sarah too... got all her albums, even the bad ones! hahaha and I saw her in Amsterdam live... and I'm not really sure... I think she said it in an interview or something, could be trown out of proportion of course! Anyway I forgive her this mistake... even if it was only for Possesion

Yeah, that's true. I was really annoyed during the TF1 special when Celine barely got to sing a line during some of the songs. But as I'm sure you'd agree there's a time and a place to moan about the portion of song allocated to a singer and a charity song featuring so many people really isn't one of them. I hope those people who are worried that Celine will be outshon or forced into the background like the song nontheless and find something there to enjoy, because I'm sure with Annie Lennox organising it all it will be great.

I don't know if it's true that we really won't have alot of Celine in that new song but as everyone said before, it's for charity so it really shouldn't matter how big a part she has. The fact that she's on there will make her fans and people who love her, hear the song and get some awarness to the problems and donate and that's the goal of this single. and by the way, I love Madonna and yes, I think Celine's a much better singer than her but we can't ignore the facts and they are, that Madonna is by faaaaaaaaar more popular than Celine these days and so most people would probably want to hear her than Celine and so if all this is true, I won't be surprised...

 

And also, Celine is maybe a person who doesn't say "no" (and we don't know that for sure) but for that she has Rene and the entire mannagment..
