And the person singing has this crazy vibrato with no control over it. The guy playing Rene looks NOTHING like him lol. Wow...well, they made a couple horrible Judy Garland bio pics before they made Me & My Shadows (which was terrific) ...maybe it'll take a few bad ones to get to the Oscar nods. I have a feeling it may not be too great, but at least the woman playing Celine is from Quebec and I really liked her from the interview someone posted here earlier. It's not 100% accurate with the language and all, but it looks exciting when the beginning of her career starts out! I really want to see this movie now! The older one seems to have a good idea of Celine but the guy that plays Rene...oye! Especially the first kiss! Seriously over done! "Rene" has "Celine" pinned against the wall!! I think Celine was doing the pinning!! lol oh well, hopefully it will be good for a laugh. Otherwise it just seems like a watered down version of Celine's story. The movie Selena would not have done as well if it was Jennifer Lopez's voice they had used instead of Selena's. However since this is a tv movie, perhaps they can't acquire/afford the rights for it. Quote

They should had asked for permission to shoot at the real colloseum, isntead of that small stage. I can't make that actor who plays Rene work, after seeing him for so long on Just Shoot Me, his movements are far too quick and he doesn't have that maffia voice either. And yes they should had used live soundtracks of Céline's performances (not studio tracks!) instead of that singer, no one sings like Céline, and she is so known for her voice, using another voice blows it all... And what is that English song the young version of Céline is singing? Written for the movie? BTW her young singing voice sounds a lot more close to the real one... /fred Quote Peace and love to all.

If you knew Celine, you would know it's her only husband. It also traces Dion's unconventional romance with her much older manager and current husband, Rene Angelil (portrayed by Enrico Colantoni of "Veronica Mars" and "Just Shoot Me").
