I just watched the trailer on youtube and, not to be offensive to Celine, but this looks awful! One, it's way to early in her career to have a movie about her, and second, the actors don't resemble any of the people they are supposed to be playing. I gotta bad feeling about this one.

But, all the songs are in English, and they're not really Celine's early songs. The singer's not so good. No doubt they couldn't afford to license Celine's recordings (this is paid for by the CBC, after all), so they did what they could. Love the outfits, though!

 

In all, it looks a bit low-budget (it is!), but I think it could well be entertaining.

 

As for the language thing, SRC (the French arm of CBC) passed on the opportunity to do a French version, so it's English-only. I *still* think they should have made the songs in French, though. And, preferably used her actual songs.
