Alex_Incognito Posted January 17, 2007 at 06:38 PM Posted January 17, 2007 at 06:38 PM Celine worked with Max Martin who wrote most of Britney Spears' early hits from 1998-2001. He did "Love is All We Need" and "In His Touch" on ONE HEART. Celine in the pop world is always welcomed. She has yet to dissapoint me, the only way she can is to do belch the alphabet. Say What? Posted January 17, 2007 at 07:08 PM Posted January 17, 2007 at 07:08 PM Excuse me- you're clearly confused- I by no means rate a song by what Celine likes- and certainly don't "keep saying" thats the reason why I like it. She obviously adores all of Miracle which, in my opinion is mostly poop- apart from ISSW...and many here will disagree with that- anyhow- what I meant was that makes the song significant because it has a connection to Celine because she favours it so much and therefore makes it much more worthy to be on the album rather some bombastic track designed only to show the masses how high and powerful she can sing. So don't try to tell me the reasons for me liking or disliking a song. I like the song, you don't. Congrats. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>You replied twice to me in this thread and twice you supported your argument stating THLAL is one of Celine's favorite songs on the album. You said:- "As she says, "it's one of my very favourite on the albom"then you said in your following post:- "if you've seen the recording of THLAL, you can see it's one of Celine's favourites" If you didn't mean to use her statement as a support to your liking THLAL, the why even mentionning it? Who cares if Celine likes it. It doesn't mean it's significant. I say it isn't, you say it is. End of story. Don't bring Celine in this discussion as if it meant anything. Quote
stevo Posted January 17, 2007 at 07:35 PM Posted January 17, 2007 at 07:35 PM 'As she says, "it's one of my very favourite on the albom' wasn't something Celine ever said in regard to THLAL- I was saying the song is one of my favourites on the album, merely imitating the way Celine said that about Seduces Me on the Live in Memphis VHS. I now realise that would be difficult to appreciate in a texted post. And this is getting petty but it'd be strange not to bring Celine into the discussion since it's the CelineDionForum. n' all. And why is everyone one here, especially the SCF, think that if someone is criticizing anything Celine that they are automatically a Mariah fan? I despise Mariah's music. I can't stand Lara's personality (or lack thereof). It's just immature and childish to not accept the fact that some Celine fans happen to dislike some aspect of her career. Grow up already! Quote

Tal Posted January 17, 2007 at 07:56 PM Posted January 17, 2007 at 07:56 PM What a crock of excrement!!! I'm no sure about this direction. I always hated any R&B songs she's ever recorded. Her voice doesn't suit the genre at all. What a disappointment!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>R U sure you're in the right forum? It looks sooo LAMB... <{POST_SNAPBACK}>If you only knew... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> LMAO I seriously cant get how people like THLAL. Celine doing reggae, to me, is mortifying to listen to. Make You Happy I can kind of tolerate but THLAL sounded ridiculous. Especially with her accent...on a track like that, plus rapping. As for it being her favorite song. Rain, Tax was also one of her favorite... Quote I live my life like a runawayI hide my dreams in a special placeI'm waiting here for my prince to comeTo save me from the darkness...

amelie Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:56 PM Posted January 19, 2007 at 09:56 PM (edited) "that's the way it is" is one of my very favorite Celine songs and one of her biggest hits.i also loved "in his touch" and liked faith and "love is all we need" very much.I don't believe that Celine or anyone else is too good for anyone or anything so i just don't get all that "shes too good for this and for that".And this comes from someone (me) who usually sees things either black or white lol.Its just pop music and he's great at it.if you think that genre doesn't suit Celine that's another thing, and i would agree only cause her image, looks and age aren;t those of britney. I still enjoyed listening that kind of music which i love from my favorite artist. Edited January 19, 2007 at 09:56 PM by amelie Quote
krazy_kool_dude Posted January 21, 2007 at 06:10 PM Author Posted January 21, 2007 at 06:10 PM (edited) more information http://www.moviesonline.ca/movienews_10991.html Q: What’s the next step? Ne-Yo: Well like I said, I’m putting the finishing touches on my second album right now. That’s really my main focus other than the promotion of this movie right now. So writing for a whole bunch of people – to name a few – Britney Spears, just did some stuff for her in New York; Whitney Houston is coming back – strong, strong, strong, strong, strong, strong – oh yeah, she’s coming back; Celine Dion is another one I’m about to go in with really, really soon. Hey man, I’m trying to start 2007 off with a bang. Q: How did Celine Dion come up? Ne-Yo: That was a shock to me. My publisher is good friends with somebody in her camp. She’s about to finish up the show that she has in Vegas right now and you know they said they were talking about her putting another album together so they were going down the list of people she normally works with and my publisher threw my name in the mix and she said, ‘Oh!, him (tapping the table loudly). I want that guy.’ Q: So Celine Dion handpicked you? Ne-Yo: Yeah. Q: Can you talk a little bit like when you sit in the room with Celine or Britney, what’s your process in terms of getting information out of them and how does it influence your songs? Ne-Yo: Pretty much the same way that this is going on. You ask questions and you get the answers. I haven’t got the opportunity to meet Celine yet. I haven’t started working on that project yet but they reached out and said that she definitely wants me to be a major part of her project. As far as Britney, her whole thing was she’s tired of talking about Kevin, tired of comeback songs. She said she has a CD disk changer of 12 CD’s full of Britney’s back songs and she was like, ‘Can I just make a song? Does it have to be my triumphant return every time?’ And you know, I was like, ‘I see your point.’ So I didn’t give her one of those. She’s like, ‘I just want hit records. That’s all.’ So I said, ‘Look, alright.’ Edited January 21, 2007 at 06:11 PM by krazy_kool_dude Quote http://img345.imageshack.us/img345/4136/siggyju5.jpg

Céline's Blues Posted January 21, 2007 at 07:11 PM Posted January 21, 2007 at 07:11 PM (edited) Well, the point is I don't have anything against him writing for Céline or something but Sony and her fans most of all, hope for a hit. And it will be a flop. I know that here and now. Céline and hip never were any good. And that's the very reason I think it's a waste of time and talent (even if the song is acceptable). Kyle_Jared Posted January 21, 2007 at 07:21 PM Posted January 21, 2007 at 07:21 PM This goes to show Celine is much smarter then you give her credit for sometimes...she knows who's hot right now. I am WICKEDLY excided about what Ne-Yo will do for her.....truly I am!!!! Celine is a miracle worker......and for all you about go off your deep end with this news (which I find hysterical) since you want her trapped in 1993......tough. I love Ne-yo's "So sick" and "Sexy love'' The past year/2 years his songs have been MASSIVE hits. and Guy's they're love songs. Mario's "Let me love you'' Was huge....and it was a beautiful R&B Ballad. Beyonce's Irreplacable, is a light R&B number that's in it's 7th week at #1 GO CELINE !!!!!! Quote

She cant make any hit now whatever she sings coz it's sung by celine maybe a crappy song sung by someone else could be an hit and i think you have many examples!the "problem" is not the track in itself but the fact that Céline is labelled as "AC artist she could sing anything, even a heavyrock song, she will always be an "AC artist" so for me it doesnt matter whatever she sings i want just new celine's songs Quote For Exclusive News "Like Us" on Facebook http://i44.tinypic.com/vfjwad.jpg click on the banner
