No Ne-No, no R.Kelly, no Timba (who I never believed would be there).

BUT lots of Aldo Nova??? If it's true that she gets 1000 songs a year, how come 4 Aldo Nova songs? Don't know what to think yet. Definitely not a "rock" album.

I'm all for it. He is a rock singer/song writer after all. Your Light is very decent. I don't know where you problem is. She is not an RNB singer.

My problem is not against him as a producer but I have always despised his lyrics. I love You is terrible; there are so many different tenses used it makes no sense and no one bothered correcting it before Celine sang it. But I always love Your Light. The point is with all the people who are clamoring to write for her, i am surprised that they chose 4 of his songs.

On the other hand, they shouldn't have talked all that rock talk, know what I mean?

But just because it's not what I expected, it doesn't mean it's not good, it's just something else. I love the song, that's the Celine I know and fell inlove with. Guess they were only referring to "That's Just the Woman in Me" when they said "The Celine you're about to discover" :whistling: Just joking. I really need to hear the whole album before I say I love it or I love it a little less then others (there's no chance in hell I won't love it, because it's Celine, I love everything she does!)

One little question, cause I don't understand anything on that site, except song names and Celine Dion: when is the album available for download? Also November 13?

Guess who'll be coming up with "exclusive" song clips shortly? :rolleyes:

lol yup that's all totally true!! :thumbsup2: But then again I think every album since FIY was said to have a more rock feeling to it!! Even ANHDC was supposed to be rock :laugh: ! (like madonna's confessions on the dancefloor)

I'm actually pleasantly suprised! Cause after the studio vid I was a little disappointed. I think the album definitely has a rock feel to a lot of the songs, but there seems to be a good mix. Here's my thought on the songs so far:

Eyes On Me - Still hate it! AGREE
My Love - I think I'm going to love this one. It has a bit of a Coldplay vibe to it Agree
Shadow of Love - Loving it so far! Its definitely catchy! It has kind of an 80's pop vibe to it. Agree
Suprise Suprise - Loved it from the studio footage and still do! Agree
This Time - This is the other Moody track and it sounds pretty good. Not a lovey dovey one Agree
New Dawn - I could hear Xtina doing this. I love anything with a choir in it so... Agree
A Song For You - I still don't love it but I like how the mixed it as opposed to the studio footage we saw.
World to Believe In - Cheesey ballad but I can see myself loving this one when the whole thing comes out. Totally Agree
Can't Fight This Feelin' - Good one. Sounds like a Kelly song. So so...
I Got Nothin Left - This one actually has potential but what the hell did they do her voice?
Right Next to... - Not into it. need to hear more...
Fade Away - Sounds like another Kelly song but I like it! It sound really current! And its not a lovey dovey one which is great. Agree
Thats Just the Woman In Me - I like the grit in her voice but her pronounciation is wierd in some parts. But its great! Total blues/Joplin song.
Skies of LA - I think its hard to tell what this whole song will sound like...its kinda wierd so far.

After listening to those extracts there's no doubt that Taking Chances is a different Céline in English. This should have been her come back album in 2002. Thank God they chose to record something like that now in 2007 - it combines the light rocky guitars of her French albums, guitars that have been ALL THERE since 1991's Dion Chante Plamondon. It's surely not Céline Taking Chances in a literal way but what you have here is a fusion between her French sound and English lyrics. Very nice one at that as it seems.

Also not to neglect are the 18 new tracks we will have on the album (Japanese edition) which is a full treat.

Needless to say:

Madonna's "Confesions..." was supposed to be rock? Man, did they messed up there! :laugh:

The thing is, the problem is not even with the songs really... I mean they could have easily been arranged to sound more rock, they have the heavy guitars and stuff.. Like Can't Fight the Feeling... They arranged it in a non-rock manner.

I love, love, LOVE her vocals on New Dawn :wub: I love This Time (again, this could have been more heavy, if they wanted to give the album a rock sound).

I know I'm repeating myself, but I can't fight the feeling ( :giggle: ) I get when listening to That's Just the Woman in Me. It's the only clip there that puts a huge smile of happiness and amazement and satisfaction on my face. It's just one of those Celine moments I get, when I can't believe my ears, it's that good!

Why is everyone gettin' on "I Got Nothin' Left"? :shrug:

I thought it was sadly beautiful. Haunting almost which fits the subject of the song. I like that her voice sounds so different. :clap:

btw she used that voice from I aint got nothin left in other songs... I dunno kinda like Miles To Go, or something like that... it sounded familiair! hahaha

I Got Nothing Left seems like it might be a good song but they completely destroyed her vocal. She did not sing it like that in the studio...they had to have done some crap effect on it when they mixed it. It sounds totally artificial.

I would really hold off on judging her voice on I Got Nothin Left yet. I remember being scared by the TCH 30 sec clip and was pleasantly surprised.

What? I LOVE 'I Got Nothin' Left'!!! her voice is so different, but still beautifull and unique. Very original in my opinion! :wub:
