news regarding Britney's release date!

 

BRITNEY SPEARS’ new album is being rush-released a fortnight ahead of schedule in a bid to beat Internet leaks.

 

Blackout was due to land on November 12, but will now arrive on October 29 as label Jive pull out all the stops to crush illegal downloads.

 

The sudden date change means the collection, Britney’s first in four years, will precede the release of her comeback single Gimme More which is still due on November 5.

 

An unofficial source at her label told me: “The demand for Britney’s new album has taken everyone by surprise. People are desperate to get their hands on it.

 

“Executives at the label decided to give people what they want, so they opted to get it on the shelves as soon as they possibly could.”

 

I have heard the album and am pleased to report it’s a return to form for the starlet whose recent antics have overshadowed what she’s best at – making great pop music.

That's good news and makes sense to release it while the single is HOT. Makes sense before there are many leaks plus maybe Britney is scared of Celine beating her to the top spot

I contacted ginza.se and cdon.com to inform about the album since before has the record company forgotten to give out any info to them.

 

Ginza told me the still are waiting for info on all releases (TC, AND DVD, TAST S E) from the record company and wouldn't post the tracklist from sonybmg.de which I sent them nor the cover - the odd thing is they have just changed the title to The Woman In Me.

 

cdon has not replyed but they have added both versions now and the tracklist I sent them.

 

And the release date for Sweden seems to be november 14:th.

What does it mean, that there's written Enhanced next to CD+DVD and Special Box Set TC items on Amazon?

Does it mean that the DVD will include enhanced stuff? I hope so, because if it's gonna be CD enhanced my stereo hi-fi system doesn't play such disks...

Oh, sorry, I realize it came out wrong. I didn't mean it like that. I was just wondering. It does make business sense, considering China has like over a billion people, and India very close to that. And Japan has hundred of millions too. So, if you gotta sell, go to where the people are.

I just wish there'd be no exclusivities in that way: they should give everything to everybody, make everything available for all the fans, know what I mean?

Japan is the second biggest music market. China and India market are not that big due to pirate problem, but still not small.

 

You can have this remix exlusive on Euro single. And it would never release as signle here. Fair? If I think everything should be available to every fans, I would die in jealous to the Canadian, American French fans years ago.

Bellamy, are there shows in China she could go to when she comes to China next year (Like wetten dass...? in Germany?) and do they have a big impact on sales? How many albums can a western star sell in china?

 

BTW Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Luxemburg is the second biggest music market in the world. You can take it as one, because Austrians and Swiss watch German TV a lot..
