Ok, add me to the list of people pissed at TC!!! I never got any email with the link to listen to the new song and video. I've been going thru the TC site for 40 minutes and now have just found a link to the video. Damn, they are sooo unorganized with this, why didn't they do with BEFORE any new stuff came out to at least give us all a chance to learn to navigate the site with ease.

 

The video took forever to load too!

I can log in ok, but there is nothing there about previewing the song for TC members on Sunday nor did I receive any kinda email about that or the 30 second clip! GRRRRR Thank GOD I'm a member here or

I wouldn't find out anything.

 

Team Celine notified me on Friday (I think), a couple of days prior anyway, about the preview on Sunday. I haven't been having any problems with them.

I have some quest6ions to you: first i must tell i am very afraid of celine comeback , cause it seems that this album is very different that i expected, first single is perfect, for us , celines fans, but not for new fans.It is too slowly without any beat, i am so confused in that.

Do u think is there some disco hits in album? i think it is very important for general public cause what is playing at the disco became a World HIT. Thats why pink, avril lavigne and kelly clarcson are less popular than before few years, and why nelly furtado is the most popular singer these times.

 

second choice is to make fresh funny songs for example now annie lenoxs Songs of mass destruction, i heard one song from that album and is completely rockish, but have very good tempo, very disco friendly , very classical , and still so fresh, but Taking chances? i cant believe that non celine fans could hear in this song any change any evolution

Yeah, you expected disco hits and if there were disco songs on there you wouldn't complain. But there would be 99% of others that would reason to complain. Don't you think that now that the song get some positive feedback it's only good omen for her come back?

 

And there will be no disco songs on the CD. MAybe next time. I bet, tho the song with Tricky could be nicely remixed!

Aha, and who died and made Roger the Alpha and Omega for sales predictions? Gogo, you're letting yourself into typical media buzz! And guess what? Kristin Chenoweth released two years ago an album with THE SAME ALBUM TITLE as Alicia KEy and NOBODY is bitching. Nobody. And if she will debut at no.1 it's cuzz she has supportive fans and NOT cuzz Roger Friedman predicts so.

No he doesn't. He'll report anything that's negative about Celine and if he can't find anything, he'll try to shove his negative opinion down our throat.

 

Seems to me like someone can't handle rejection.

 

I'm not sure it matters if Celine debuts at #1 or not. I think the numbers is what matters. Let's hope she sells as much as ANDHC did in its first week out. I think that was her best first week sales ever. Everything will depend on promo but also on how much exposure the single will get on radio, TV and online. Promo alone won't do much for Celine. She needs a hit.

With or without promotion, its us who can bombard the voting websites and get her into the top 10 countdowns of radio stations around the world. And thats something we've always been kind of lame at. So when this song hits radio, we need to list some of the largest radio stations in the world and bombard them with requests for TC. Same goes with music channels.

 

We've got to request it on Z100!!

 

Exactly what I was thinking. Z100 is one of the biggest radio stations in the world!! If we can get them to play TC, it will be fantastic for her!

 

How many active members do we have on this forum? 1000? If each person votes at least 10 times, thats all it takes to get her good airplay on some really popular radio stations. Once it hits radio, we should open a sticky thread and list the sites of popular radio stations with big audiences and just hit them all with requests. Z100, BBC1, and stations in LA, Toronto, Paris, etc. Then hopefully VH1 and maybe MTV but I doubt the latter, lol.

Well, there's a lot of time between now and November. Anything can happen. Celine needs a good promotion, considerable amount of radio and video airplay, support from her fans no matter what she is doing and she needs to be everywhere during the time of release.

 

We don't need to listen to anyone or anything that would say "Celine's not gonna sell like she did back in the 90's"... well, no one can. The music industry sucks, even someone who's had hit after hit with their singles can't sell more than 5 million these days. But I think that Celine has the potential and definitely needs our support. We should do whatever we can so as to keep this album alive.

 

As Seb said, who the hell is that Roger Friedman to tell who's gonna sell more on Nov. 13.

Alicia is well known but she's had some hot & cold results with past releases, so Celine has

as good a shot as any of them to debut at #1. Oddly enough, they are now label mates! LOL

Yeah I am positive that Alicia will bring in spot #1 first week. Her last album sold over 618,000 copies opening week. I think Celine will bring good numbers around 250,000-350,000 but defanitley not enough to get that #1 , sadly.

Celine: 420,000 (One Heart)

Britney: I am pretty sure around 550,000.
