As for the song... the sample from Taking Chances was in many forums here in Greece and unfortunatelly was intensely criticized. And we are talking for a country that has made ALL her english cd's platinum (except One Heart) and has made Celine the best international artist in Greece. We hope that a better single will be released. Rumor has it that today a radio station in Thessaloniki (Greece) turned down the agreement for the exclusiveness of the song (later this month) 1 day after it was released on the internet. It gave out the feeling that Céline was doing a karikature of all the other divas and the image she has to the genaral public. Now the new one feels too serious and it the selfdistance Céline satued in the first cover is way gone here. It is almost dorky. And yea very avarage Céline album cover. Amazing how it went from one of her best to one of her worst in just cutting it. If the first cover did something for the general public it was for them to react, this doesn't do anything, and that's why it fails. /fred couldn't say it any better...and since when do they listen to us? Céline has always released albums on vinyl until they stopped in 1996. Falling Into You was the last album released on vinyl, in a precious limited edition. Céline's singles were made on vinyl until 1999, with That's The Way It Is and I Want You To Need Me on brilliant picture cover vinyls Now, Taking Chances its announces as an album full of rock, r'nb, uptempo songs and maybe dance, which makes it perfect for a series of singles full of remixes. And you know vinyl have come in fashion again, its more and more sold in USA and coming strong in Europe again. Furthermore Sony BMG music is releasing many artists on vinyl like Beyoncé, Shakira, and other labels never stopped it with artists like Madonna, Mariah Carey (who releases every album and single on vinyl) Whitney Houston etc, with fantastic editions, picture discs, limited editions... Why not Céline? Does anyone here love this format too? We should ask Sony/Celinedion.com to release again Céline's music in vinyl, with those amazing gatefold cover double LP's and all, and of course, vinyl maxi 12" singles with picture cover (not the poor versions they did with IDAN, OH or HYEBIL ) It's time now to ask for Céline's albums and singles on vinyl . At least, they could release Takin Chances in a limited edition, gatefold album. Many artists put out their new albums for everyone, for the sound purists on vinyl, for the casual listeners on CD and for the iPod generation in compressed format.
