well july is still far away . and seb - do u really think she'll take a 1 month break and start this world tour?!?   i think it wont happen before march 2008 .

If she's to have an acoustic set for the concert as she said in 2002 she won't do much rehearsing at all and will go straight into touring starting with South Africa!

she wanted her next english album to be a jazz one yet we'll get something which will be as far from jazz as possible...and it's just one example

She never said she wants her next album to be jazz...other people told her she would do a great job with it...

That is soooo cool she'll go everywhere. I think she will. Rene said the project is 90% done. So that means it's pretty much done, they might cut out a few cities, in order to stay longer in one place. I think she'll take a couple of months off after Vegas. Even if she'll be in SA in February, doesn't mean she'll be touring. She'll just be there for one show. She needs to rest a little after Vegas, catch her breath and rehearse a little for the tour. I think the show will be either very intimate or very big production. She can't do the kindda show she was doing before 2003. Either way, just of the thought of hearing her sing live the new songs that she'll have at that time....

but until then her english album wont be that hot...hopefuly she'll promote the album there before(tv shows and interviews)...

And more then once she said how she looooooooooooooooooooooooves rock music (and how she sang a lot of that when she was in her 2000 break) and nowadays she even mentioned Freddy Mercury, so... It doesn't mean she said that her next album would be rock (even if I would die for a rock album).

 

But back to the topic, if she will go to everywhere, it must be a World Tour. OMG! Be a World Tour! Be a World Tour!

well if you've listened "back to basics" i thnk i just THINK that there is space for Ne-yo (or whatever his name is) in an album like that...(anyway i liked that album or its style whatsoever but i live for the day Celine will ROCK the world)

Yes, she does love it and she's sooo good at it. I'd love it if her next album was very eclectic: she should have a jazz song, rock, blues, r'n'b, upbeat pop, power ballads, soul....heck, i could even accept a country song, though i don't like country at all. But not pop songs with influences from all these genres, but real jazz, rock etc. It would be like a journey through music and everyone would like at least one song

I know!! That's RIDICULOUS but commercially understandable as Sony wants to have a hit badly. Point blanc. Jazz will come later on.

 

And she has chosen smaller arenas now. Instead of stadiums which says she is going back to the FIY atmosphere.

Considering the tour is already as good as planned and there is no single word about ANY of countries in eastern Europe we have to assume Céline and René once again ignored countries where Mylene Farmer, Patricia Kaas or Garou are major stars selling out arenas but are still not enough for Céline and René. For whatever reasons.

I'm just anxious to find out how they will scheldule this tour. Will she start in Europe and then go to Asia and then maybe North America? If she does a big world tour it seems like it would take a long time. It seems like it would be over a year. She could just do one giant concert in Europe (Eastern included), one giant concert for Asia, and one giant concert for North America. Attendence at each show woulde be a minimum of one million fans,

I'd go! Used to have a lady staying in my house who was from Finland. I've never been, always wanted to explore the northern parts of Europe and pay homage to Stockholm in particular, not too far away from you is it?? Oh, and if she could make a stop at Austria as well please (my 2nd home!)

I've just seen Kylie's last show from her homecoming tour in Manchester and it was incredible- it made me very excited about Celine's upcoming tour- I hope the audiences are so enthusiastic. I also hope that Celine takes a modern swing on a couple of her songs- like Kylie in Locomotion- she sang it in a real jazzy, swing style, not the poppy version released- I think it'd be cool if Celine did that to spruce up some of her standards that she has to sing e.g BYLM- she could rock it up a bit or summit. Just an idea
