firebird Posted March 18, 2007 at 10:29 AM Posted March 18, 2007 at 10:29 AM One year sounds ok to me. Her previous world tours (FIY & LTAL) went as well just for a little more than a year.I just hope she'll have reasonnable ticket prices. Quote

Attendais Posted March 18, 2007 at 07:27 PM Posted March 18, 2007 at 07:27 PM Yes, I hope she will come to Poland, but who knows? If not, I do not have any problem, because she's coming to Berlin. It's very close to my home-town Just take a car, ride a motorway, 3h and I'm on o2 stadium... but I'd love if she came here! And to Romania, Thailand, Brazil where she's never been. Eventually to Estonia or Latvia. But no longer to western Europe. I would be affraid about her Quote http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff31/Takin_chances/jetaimeencoresing.jpg "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes"

Wembley Arena holds about 12,000 people so if she's doing midsize then she'll not be doing the Stadium, but where does this information come from that she's wanting midsize venues? I never heard that before, interesting! Quote

I never heard that before, interesting! Yeah that's it.."new wembley arena" got me confused.. Well it's really logical if you look into the venues in which she's reported to perform, they all hold about 10.000-18.000 people.. Definately not Stadiums and definately not small venues. Thomas Posted March 18, 2007 at 07:56 PM Posted March 18, 2007 at 07:56 PM She's never done an arena in the UK since 1996 but it's possible. I was thinking she would do stadiums here so that she doesn't have to do multiple of shows. She only performend 4 shows here in 1999 but they were seen by 250,000 people, which is absolutely loads! She would have to do 20 times the equivelant of Wembley arena to get the same audience and the same ticket revenue (not that she would, but that's what she'd need to do to match the statistic) and since she's trying to take it easier and move slower, it would make sense to me to do less shows to more people. But who knows! She might do less shows to less people and not care either way (lol) but if she's coming all this way that would be a shame. I'm sure she could still fill any stadium here with ease. All the big stars came here towards the end of their career. And actually really big actual stars are starting to come to Romania. This year alone we're having George Michael and the Rolling Stones, and also Pink, Marylin Manson and some other rock bands for B'estival, a music festival in Bucharest during the summer. I don't think Celine will come with her 2008 tour, but maybe with the tour after that, some 10 years from now... Anyway, I'm just so glad I can go see her where she is, even if it's really hard for me financially. I love mixing visitig the cities I've always wanted to see with seeing Celine in concert there! Thomas Posted March 18, 2007 at 08:48 PM Posted March 18, 2007 at 08:48 PM (edited) Yes, but that's the thing.. she wants to do multiple showsWhen did she say this? She could travel around the UK for weeks and weeks if she wanted but it doesn't mean she will do any more shows than last time. I mean, isn't that the point of spending longer somewhere, so she can see it without having the hassle and time constraints of performing? I mean, none of us know anything for sure so we'll just have to wait. I'm just not expecting more than a few UK dates and I would expect they'll be "smaller" stadiums like Sheffield, Manchester, Birmingham etc rather than arenas. I believe even René said it in an interview late last year.. You're using For Keeps as a reference?? Sorry but there are many things she said in any official books that ended not being true or happening. If she's to decide to do smaller venue, then she will not do locations she's never done before, like Poland, Thailand, etc. It's plain logical. Let's wait for an official confirmation before spreading rumours. In the USA and Canada, my guess is she'll most probably do arena-sized venues (the ones used for ice hockey and basketball events). And those are something like over 20 000 seats. And my hunch is that if her world tour starts so soon after the end of her Vegas show, it would mean she'll takea lot of her AND show on the road. There wouldn't be that much time to put a whole new show together in 2 month period (minus the Christmas Holiday break). Quote
