seb it doesnt have anything to do with the music...it has everything to do with promotion and celine being there .

do u really need examples of albums that were pure trash and still sold millions of copies? or the other way around , albums that were amazing and flopped?

 

celine wont flop in france we all know it , i just dont understand why they couldnt wait til november/december with this album...celine will then end her show and be able to promote it as long as she wants to...

it seems like this album means alot to celine so why not waiting few more months?

That's right. If they want the album to be a commercial success they need good promotion. Sony think they don't need promotion because Celine is a household name and people will buy everything she puts out, just because it has her name written on it. I really hope they do a promotion which is worth the album with good live performances on good TV shows, music videos, interviews and I think that this kind of album can really help Celine to get more radio airplay, because it changes from that exchangeable AC stuff she released in recent years.

Concerning the time, I don't think it doesn't matter that much, you can see that quite some time that an album takes its time to get a big seller. If they treat it right it can still become a big seller in 2008, but unfortunately I fear they will drop for the sake of her English album, as they always do I really hope this time they will follow this project a bit longer than just the few months after its release.

I wouldn't worry about the French album's promotion at all. It will be well promoted by the fact that the 12 writers will be interviewed and be on TV all the time. She doesn't need a catchy single this time. She will actually HAVE a quality first single now.

I agree. It's very sad that Vegas is about to end....but thank God we have so much to look forward to. After the "world" tour, then we may have something to worry about...

thank god vegas is over...for most fans the last 4 years were not very easy with regarding to celine - she was in vegas almost the entire time , released few albums just as gifts to the fans and let's not even talk about the quality of her music

 

now more fans would be able to see her live and wont have to pay so much money in order to do it + we'll see her more on tv simply because she'll have the time to do whatever it is she wants to

I agree that it's time for it to end....but since I've gone so many times, I will miss it---but I feel honored to have witnessed history in music.

I will miss Vegas. I say this each time we talk about this, but she was so accessible. You can just run into Rene, Michel, Elise, Yves, etc and have a conversation with them. I asked Yves if he could pass along a gift to her and the next day Michel came over to talk to us and tell us Celine was looking at our gift right that very moment. That is something very special and rare for an artist as big as she is.

 

Plus, it was nice to be able to plan trips around seeing her. I knew where she was, what dates, etc. I could buy tickets, end up with 2nd and sometimes 1st row seats which almost never happens at normal concerts. Plus the stage is so close to the audience...there's real interation with her and the crowd.

 

But I know that I'm not the majority and that if I lived further away I would have a completely different perspective. And although I'll miss Vegas, I'm excited to see her do something different, have more time to make TV appearances, tour the world.

calm down , i'm sure they'll extend the tour if the demand will be high .

rene loves money more than anything else , he wants sold out shows and he'll take celine to other countries too

we already know she'll be in africa so it's possible she'll do some concerts there too . i hope she'll come to israel , greece and other places she never visited .

 

they want to show rene charles the world , they want to travel as family so i really think they would like to show him the holy sites in the holy land and other places outside of europ .

well it's still not a world tour , we know for some time now that rene is planning series of concerts in france for 2008 . the french album will be fotgotten til then but those concerts might help to promote her english album...

one have to wonder if celine can still sell out a week of shows in france...i guess it depends on the capacity of the place

People come from all over the world to see her in Vegas. I'm sure people will come from all over Europe for those shows in Paris. That would be so great if it's confirmed. I'll surely go for a couple of shows there.
