I don't know if this is what you were talking about, but there was some mention of her going to Israel for a Woodstock like concert sometime in the future. I know other artists such as Ricky Martin and Cher were confirmed to appear. However, this event was only going to get off the ground if all safety issues were taken care of and the area become more "stable."

O I just found out, Celine is scheduled to perform in my bedroom too, sometime in late 2008.

 

This all seems pretty crazy to me. I agree with those of you who feel that if she wants to have another child that that should come before the world tour. She isn't getting any younger. Plus when she took a break last time and then did a tour for ANDHC she was a huge success. Maybe a long break before a big comeback tour would have her be an even bigger success! Look at all the talk about Whitney's supposed comeback, and she can't even hold a note anymore!

 

This news seems to contradict everything else that she has been saying about taking a break and having another child. Knowing Celine as we all do, it seems that she would opt for a child before a tour. But then again knowing Celine as we do, she may very well surprise us all!

I think Celine should do what Celine wants to do. If she wants to have the world tour before another baby....we have no room to judge her. Especially by saying "she's not getting any younger". Let's face it, people. She has the money to be young for a lot longer than we ever will! So that's really no reason at all.

 

However, I would have thought that the baby would come first with Rene's age and all.

I agree, but money cannot stop you from getting older biologically. IVF can only do so much. At least when I say she's not getting any younger, I'm referring to the fact that the older a woman gets the less likely she is to be able to carry to term. I'm not saying it's impossible, just that it's less likely. My mom had my brother when she was in her late 30's so it's not impossible, however we're talking forties by the time she gets done with this supposed tour, and since she had a difficult time the first time, the longer she waits the harder it may be. You are right she is free to do as she wishes, as we are free to express how we feel and to make comments to produce dialogue and responses in this forum. Nothing wrong with lighthearted disagreement!

And, gogo, ritoutou was also right about the number of nights - she said 3-5 nights for Paris only! And she said that back in 2004! Some plans have changed, of course but the idea has remained: Céline will have 2 nights a city minimum and I won't be surprised she will do up to 5 nights a city (with days in between for break).

 

I know the album will be no.1 in every country she'll visit as I told in the other thread about Céline ruling the world again in 2008. Céline is not known for her singles but for her stage persence and persona - live, not studio. That's the reason ppl will go crazy for her, especially in Europe and in countries where she has never been before! Imagine the euphoria of those countless fans in SA or Brazil that can see her for the first time ever!

I also rest my case regarding Céline visiting at least ONE country of the former Soviet block - may it be Kazakhstan, Usbekistan, Russia, Poland, Czech Republic or Romania. She should do it.

 

Ohhhh and the new English album will be so huge. The sales won't be that huge, tho as they continue to diminish every year now. In 2008 an artist that sells 2 million of an album will be considered a success. But anyway Céline will be everywhere then.

I also think that it will be bad for AND. If people think that Celine will be visiting their city eventually, then they wouldn't spend all the money to go see her in Vegas. It doesn't matter if it's a whole new show...some people just don't care about that, as long as their getting Celine.

Johannesburg - Canadian superstar Celine Dion will perform at the "Unite of the Stars" banquet in South Africa in February 2008, the organisers confirmed on Friday.

 

Although usually held in November, next year's event would be postponed until February of the following year to accommodate the singer's touring schedule, the organisers said in a statement.

 

International artists at the event in previous years include Diana Ross, Christina Aguilera, Westlife, and Danni Minogue.

 

Dion is the biggest selling female artist of all time in South Africa, and has been recognised internationally winning Grammy Awards in the United States, Juno and Felix Awards in Canada, and World Music Awards in Europe.

La Société des Fêtes du 400e aurait voulu que la célèbre chanteuse lance en grande pompe les festivités au Colisée, le 31 décembre 2007. Mais cette option est irréaliste puisque Céline donnera sa dernière prestation à Las Vegas le 15 décembre. Il lui serait donc difficile de monter un nouveau spectacle pour le 400e de Québec en si peu de temps. Et il n’est pas non plus question de déménager au Colisée le spectacle A New Day Has Come de Las Vegas, beaucoup trop lourd sur le plan technique.

 

Différentes sources ont donc confirmé que la capitale fera plutôt partie de l’itinéraire de la chanteuse pendant sa tournée 2008, sans toutefois pouvoir préciser la date de l’événement. Le gérant et époux de la vedette, René Angélil, a récemment indiqué que des promoteurs ont soumis des propositions à Céline pour organiser cette tournée mondiale, la première depuis 1999. Officiellement, rien n’est encore confirmé, mais plusieurs personnes ont affirmé au Soleil qu’il ne s’agissait que d’une formalité.

I must say it will depend on the kind of concert Céline will make how many time I'll go and see her live. I will go once for sure but certainly not more than once if she'll be trying to pull off cheap show tricks on European audience like too many dancers, special effects and lame songs. I truly expect much from her now and we will then see how TURE she is to herself. She is a performer after all, not Kylie Minogue or Madonna.
