I would be more exited if the first thing that popped into my head wasn't "great, another special for her to lipsynch every song." Seems her french specials the last few years have all been lipped, and it drives me crazy. I'd rather not even see her than watch her act like a fool and mouth to songs she sings, but for some reason doesn't want to actually sing them. Might as well have a radio listening special if she's going to do that. (sorry for the negativity, I hope she proves me wrong)

I'm also afraid, but why doing this in LA ? I think that maybe this time, the things will be different. But I don't expect all the songs in live.

And no mistakes can be afforded (which are easy to make if the songs are relatively new). It's basically an album listening party, only with the artist performing herself.

It is.. although I detest when they're not singing live, I would probably do the same. Think about it, the album's just out, people aren't familiar with the songs yet, you can easily make mistakes and your band doesn't enough time to fully rehearse/perform the tracks. You want to represent the album as best as possible.. it's basically like singing in a music video....

 

Don't worry, we will get to hear the songs live (when she's on tour), but such a special is a big thing.

Concours organisé par TVA

 

Les inconditionnelles fans de Céline Dion trépignent juste à la pensée qu'elles pourraient assister à un spectacle de la diva québécoise à Las Vegas en plus d'assister au lancement de l'album D'Elles à Hollywood.

 

En effet, le Réseau TVA offre la chance à des femmes de participer à ce voyage de rêve. À l'image du prochain album de la star québécoise, entièrement écrit par des femmes, TVA veut à son tour rendre hommage aux femmes exceptionnelles du Québec en initiant le concours "Parlez d'elles".

 

Les téléspectateurs du réseau doivent parler d'une femme qui les inspire, les fait vibrer, les motive voire même qui les impressionne. Dans une courte lettre de 350 mots, on peut parler d'une sœur, d'une mère, d'une enfant, d'une collègue ou d'une artiste qui est particulièrement touchante.

 

Dans ce lot de lettres reçues, un comité de sélection choisira les cinq plus beaux témoignages. Les auteurs gagnants et trois personnes de leur choix s'envoleront pour Las Vegas le 20 mai. Ces personnes auront le privilège d'assister au spectacle de Céline Dion et seront invitées le lendemain au lancement mondial de l'album D'Elles à Hollywood.

 

Ce concours se déroule du 14 mars au 6 avril. Le public peut participer sur le site tva.canoe.com ou faire parvenir sa lettre au Concours Parlez d'Elles, CP 2020, succursale C, Montréal, Québec H2L 4K6.

 

L'album

 

L'écrivaine parisienne Françoise Dorin, Marie Laberge, Lise Payette, Denise Bombardier et Nina Bouraoui font partie des parolières qui ont écrit des textes essentiellement centrés sur des femmes. Ce projet est l'œuvre de Jean-Jacques Goldman.
