Well, we usually got any one sincle before the album release but... this time the first single is released sooo soon before the album release so maybe there is a chance for something special in between?...

 

i mean, like I just told in an another thread: the new fragrance is to be released in mid March so maybe there will be an another song from the new album to promote it, to be used in the commercials?...

 

Or maybe the duett.... who knows?.... maybe we're just gonna get surprised....

Celine Dion is putting the finishing touches on a new French-language album

entitled D'elles, which will be released on May 22, 2007. The first single

"S'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là)," written by Françoise Dorin,

will be serviced to radio and made available for sale digitally on

February 14, 2007.

    D'elles is a celebration of womanhood and Celine has connected with

famous female authors from France and Quebec to write the lyrics for this

release. The writers featured on D'elles include: Françoise Dorin, Christine

Orban, Nina Bouraoui, Marie Laberge, Lise Payette, Denise Bombardier, Nathalie

Nechtschein, Jovette Bernier and Janette Bertrand. Celine's long-time friend

and collaborator Jean-Jacques Goldman acted as music supervisor on this

project. Jacques Veneruso, David Gategno, Erick Benzi, Gildas Arzel, Marc

Dupré and Jean-François Breau contributed to the musical score on D'elles.

    During her spectacular career Celine Dion has sold a combined total of

over 175 million albums making her the biggest selling female artist of all

time, as presented at the 2004 World Music Awards in Las Vegas. A New Day...

the four year, 600-show engagement at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, has been

sold out every night since its premiere on March 25, 2003 and will close on

December 15, 2007. Since its opening, A New Day... has attracted record crowds

and continues to transport more than 4,000 audience members each night to a

Celine Dion celebrates women with new CD

Canadian chanteuse Celine Dion is set to release a new French-language album this spring.

 

The first single from D’elles, entitled “S’il n’en restait qu’une (je serais celle-là),” hit Quebec radio stations and iTunes on Wednesday.

 

According to Dion’s record label, D’elles is a celebration of womanhood featuring songs by famous female writers from Quebec and France, including Francoise Dorin, Christine Orban, Nina Bouraoui, and Marie Laberge.

 

Celine collaborated with long-time friend Jean-Jacques Goldman for the project.

 

Dion has sold more than 175 million albums worldwide. Her live show A New Day will close in mid-December after a phenomenally successful four-year run in Las Vegas.

Hmmm, the problem is she is also a Quebecoise! That would make 5 Quebecoises here! Wonderful! But it wouldn't make sense to let her out as they were always speaking about 4 Quebecoises...

Another point : I hope Françoise Hardy will be the last female writter revealed like the cherry on the cake. Her name in the album would give a big promo in France.

What the... It's not the first she's been called young. In the French media, they always reffer to her as "la jeune femme". They reffer to most women like that, if they're not after 45 I think....at least that I've noticed.

Official or Not... "Si J’étais Quelqu’un" couldn't be ok, because for a woman it would be "Si j'étais quelqu'une". Another thing: do u think a title of the song could be "La Lettre de Georges Sand" (THE letter of Georges Sand). Maybe "Lettre de Georges Sand" would be better (Georges Sand's Letter).

Buuuuuuuuut in another way, "Paradises" sounds quite well...
