WONDERFUL!!!!

 

Really, this picture is WONDERFUL and sounds like a perfect fit for what I imagine this album might be: no sweet cutie darling Celine, just the mature and very feminin and strong side of her. I might be completely off though. But the picture is absolutely stunning!

Apparently the album is different than D'eux. Our favorite reporter said that the songs are uptempo and different than SNRQ itself. We are all apparently in for a surprise. Let's see if it will be a positive one...

well uptempo can mean a million different things. were they any more specific....like is it heavy on the guitars? or is it uptempo like IDAN?

It's similar to ONCP,but. Céline always looks stunning in black and white A more mature and sophisticated angle of her face-well done!

Yeah I know that, Tal! And those million possibilities are killing me! LOL! Anyway the person has been rather vague about the album. She said she *liked it* (meaning the whole new CD) and she was speaking as "true fan". She stated it's really different than D'eux and that Céline opted for uptempos aimed at her upcoming tour. She didn't say more than SNRQ being really different than the rest of the new album which is then again different than D'eux.

 

And God forbid IDAN in French.

because children IF the album is full of uptempos like JLD or IDAN or OH then I see absolutely no point WHATSOEVER in that stunning photo. It would fit as laughably into the concept as the OH cover does.

When you have a Apple computer you have acces to see what wil be realesed the next to months its the same where I found the SRQU single cover.

 

I think in a month it will be in the iTunes store for pre-sale.

You don't need a Mac to have access to iTunes. Anyone has iTunes can access it. Not mention you would only have access to iTunes Holland. There's no need to use the photo we all know to creat the cover art and add your logo.

iTunes on Windows can show cover art, and even has the full page cover flow feature just like on Mac.

I think uptempo songs will be great!!!! I hope all of the songs are uptempo! This is what Celine needs, something to get the crowds excited and dancing on her upcoming tour. Otherwise people will say, sounds like any other Celine Dion song. Something new and exciting is what she is going for!!! And I say go for it!!!

By the way, that's certainly her most worked cover ever. I mean take a look on the way the colors are worked, her clothe, her eyes, her attitude. That's an amazing great work. What is surprising is that it is certainly her most sophisticated and classy picture while remainig very simple and athmospheric.

I agree - just look at the plays of shadows! It's purrrrrrrrrrrrfect! The final cover will be slightly different but only slightly I bet as far as the font in concerned.

24 PAGES Céline did way to little official photoshoots since ANDHC!! So this will make it up!!

 

I love all those debats before an album is released! I'm very sure we won't get a IDAN in French.. and thank god we're not getting another D'eux... cos then she'd only repeat herself! I'm very sure we're all gonna LOVE D'Elles!

I LOVE the picture! Even though when I first looked at it, I thought it's not a picture, but a drawing. It's perfectly suits the album cover. But she's not natural on that pic. I understand it's a stylish photo, there's no doubt about it... Probably it was intended to make this picture so not natural... It reminds me LATL cover a bit, BTW. The only thing... it seems to me I already saw a similar picture on the cover of... on some CD... I don't remember exactly...

They haven't retouched anything. You people always look to say something bad... It's just great makeup and great light. The photos from Enchanting, that was retouching! This is just simple and great. It probably the most artistic photo she's ever had. One of these days you people just have to admit our Celine looks simply stunning!

I love the cover, too but what I meant is the fact that Céline's covers in French gave you the sense of the album perfectly. You kind of "saw what you get" with every emotion painted on the cover. I'm only rambling but ritoutou is a reliable source of information and it will be AT LEAST interesting to see what Céline came up with.

 

Let's take "A Cause II" - these couple seconds sounded so RNB for example! Yet I'm more than sure that our favorite gay couple did their VERY best to give an amazing song to Céline.

A picture of Celine looking to the side and photoshopped into sepia or black & white doesn't conjure up deep, stirring emotions. 1F4T is probaby the only one that properly represents the album. D'elles follows a similar pattern to those prior to 1F4T but is more Divaesque, it's photoshopped to polished perfection and looks very much the 'I'm the Best'. I don't think it looks anything like ONCP!! That picture is from 1998... so why they used that one still baffels me! I love this picture very much... I'm not sure they've actually done THAT much too it... cos you can do a lot with lighting and make up... but Céline's pictures will never be that retouched like Mariah's Emancipation of Mimi or Janet Jackons latest cover!

Stevo, I do see that her English cover arts are as much quality as their French counterparts but it's a matter of I approach it: I see a cover and it is one serious impulse to say "Aha! That's it, very interesting!" or "Not really, at least not at first glance." To have a concept means also you have a special cover, not just a simple photo, at least in my opinion. It has to convey something, somewhat like a painting, emotive photography that makes you think.

 

This most recent photo is unique thanks to the well set shadows and her facial expression. Looking at that photo you'd expect at last a calm album a la SISDA... but as our reporter said first impression may be misleading here which then again seems interesting! LOL I just only hope she didn't tryto use this as you said "Divaesque" look to desperately come back to her photo style from the 90's.
