You know... I actually like the song

 

I think because its just a really great song, very powerful. However, I listened to a clip of the original by Pandora's box (not so great), Meatloaf's verion, then Celine's and I had this amazing revelation. When compared to someone else, the gripping emotion that coarses through you when Celine sings became so apparent to me! She really MAKES you *feel* a song. It's like nothing I've ever experienced! It made me fall in love with Celine all over again. Even when compared to other great voclaists like Barbra Streisand, phenominal talent, but nothing pierces my heart the way Celine's voice can! It truly is THE POWER OF CELINE! I guess I knew this all along, but comparing these two songs just reawakened me to the fact

I know exactly what you mean.

Céline has the amazing ability to touch you with her music.

I especially have that with "Ma Nouvelle France." Even when I dind't have the English translation yet, that song almost made me cry. In fact, it still does that to me. It's just that Céline sings it with so much feeling, you can feel what she felt during the song.

 

If you know what I mean?

I always thouht this song sounded more like a Meatloaf song than a Céline song,but she did it and she pulled it off, she carried it up like no one other can. She claimed it hers.

 

I use to think Céline covered this song from Meatloaf, now it's the other way around, hehe.

 

It has been exactly ten years since Céline did it and that touches my limit on when a cover is allowed to be done (what was Ronan Keating thinking covering Iris??? It has not long ago been a HUGE hit from the Go go dolls, and his version can't match theirs, bad move bad move) so I guess I have to accept another one covering Céline and trying to gain popularity while doing so (releasing single).

 

I am kind of releaved it was Meatloaf and not someone like let's say Jessica Simpson who decided to cover this song.

 

I just hope he doesn't make it a bigger hit than Céline and thereby her version will go forgotten...

There is no way he can sing this song better than Celine. I actually feel embarrassed for him, because I did see him perform it on AI and it was horrible Although it was his song originally, I think he is a fool to do a "remake" because there is no way he can compare to Celine. I don't mean to be harsh, but just as they say on AI, you can't take a song from Celine, Whitney, Christina and try to redo it. It will never compare and you will only look like a bad singer.

I heard Meatloaf's version on the Dutch radio (Skyradio) for the first time today.

I turned it off immediately and played Céline's version instead.

OMG, some of you don't know who he is? He's amazing! Did "Bat Out Of Hell" which I think was his biggest hit and...wow. He's ace!

 

But I did hear his version of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" and I hate it. That song doesn't suit his voice, nor anybody else's voice bar Celine for that matter!!

LONDON (Reuters) - My Chemical Romance stayed on top of the singles chart in a week of little change in the top 10, the Official UK Charts Company on Sunday.

 

The punk-popsters' "Welcome To The Black Parade" remained number one for the second week running ahead of indie band Razorlight with "America".

 

French DJ-producer Bob Sinclar moved up a place to third with "Rock This Party (Everybody Dance Now)", which also features the French DJ Cutee B, swapping places with "I Don't Feel Like Dancin'" from the Scissor Sisters.

That's why he recorded it with that girl, and if you listen to it, you can hear that it's just a rip-off of Celine's version. I mean, he doesn't really add anything new to the song.

I was really shocked when I saw that he entered the German single charts at #9 with this song^^ But I was even more shocked when I read what he said to a German newspaper a couple of days ago:

Oh yes, Céline Dion. I forgot the name. When I first heard the song in 1986 I knew that I have to make a duet out of it. It was made to be a duet. And then Céline Dion released a solo version. Well, what can I say? I was furious when I first heard about it. Now I sing the song just the why I wanted to sing it in the past and the title fits perfectly because now it's all coming back to me.
