It's a fabulous teaser for the album. She should from now on go for low-key songs without shouting. Nobody says she has to scream again to deliver a good song and this is the best example for it. Very nice surprise and summer tune.

its really a fabulous teaser for the album!!! i believe it wont be a leading single from new album , but anyway this song really really nice! great summer song!!!! her voice sounds strong enough , but its not very voice song , but anyway she sounds great! my god, she is really coming back, i miss her so much!!!

nothing shame that she use akon for her come back song! she was in so big s*** last 7 years so i can understand her that she use current hot producers for her come back material! she deserves for successful come back and i wish her all the best! besides Akon is great songwriter/producer who works with many other singers including Micheal Jackson.

Yeah, it is a light, fun, and breezy Summer song...

 

Yet, it's obvious that whom they declare as "The Voice" cannot be proven to be "BACK" with this particular song. It's like something that the Cheetah Girls would sing.

 

And at times I can tell Whitney is running out of breath or nearly failing to hit a note. The lyrics are a bit elementary - grade school.

 

However, then again, this is a light, fun, and breezy Summer song. I'm looking forward to hearing the other tracks...

 

All in all, good for her for making the effort.

 

P.S. Akon should NOT have sung the second verse.

i am not fond of the song or akon for that matter. however, whitney's middle register is very good but you could hear that she was trying for a couple of power notes and they lacked the usual power she had. plus i think if she can no longer hit the high ntes, the stick to songs like that because i prefer having her around and hearing new material from her than having her disappear. she is such a legend and i wish her the best of luck with her new cd Edited July 27, 2008 at 08:30 AM by pat200

But not more than this. It has something special but I don't think that whitney's made it that way.

Whitney's Voice is NOT THE SAME. Not at all.

It's a touch of the studio, and you can hear that it's sounds with a bit mess, not clear...

But it's O.K, I liked it anyway.

I would apply that to our Céline She made of TC a full high key album, many times abusing of them unnecesarily.

Whitney doesn't shout in this track, but she'll have those ones for sure . But Céline should try more low key songs. Its proven that one of the main things that people can't stand about Céline's music its because of her "shouting" all the time. So she should give a try to a more relaxed, different and calm low key songs. Everyone knows how high can she hold a note already

Most of the time she sounds like a sledgehammer. There are exceptions of course...most of them to be found on her Celine Dion album. It just proves the point that she needs to WANt and CONCENTRATE on the song before singing it in English at least.

I'm not sure I've understood you, but you mean she knows how to sing soft and low-key better in french than in english? That's maybe right, she has gems like Je Crois Toi or En Attendant Ses Pas

 

And yes, Celine Dion is maybe the only album where she has more low-key songs: Did You Give Enough Love is a jewel of song , also If I Were You and Halfway To Heaven

 

I adore when she sings like that and I MISS she doesn't sing like that anymore. And it would be so easy... she doesn't need to force her voice on every song (like she's doing sadly today ), but to combine soft low-key songs with high-notes. But she has completely forgot her technique
