Edwin Posted December 24, 2012 at 01:58 PM Posted December 24, 2012 at 01:58 PM Your family is as big as mine Sherri! Are you the chef in the family or just the host this year? 1
LuisMa Posted December 24, 2012 at 02:10 PM Posted December 24, 2012 at 02:10 PM Too much Luis!I am making a roast and veggies, then a chicken stew, then I do a pasta dish, fresh salad with spinach.....various desserts. All for about 20-25 family!Exhausting but fun! It really sounds like fun. I hope you enjoy your dinner a lot! And Merry X-Mas to you too, Edwin.
Edwin Posted December 24, 2012 at 02:22 PM Posted December 24, 2012 at 02:22 PM Thanks LM. Were you naughty or nice this year?
DionFanAlways Posted December 24, 2012 at 02:26 PM Posted December 24, 2012 at 02:26 PM Edwin, I use the term Chef loosely, but I enjoy cooking at this time of year! It's funny, because normally during the year it's just a chore.... We rotate hosting Christmas each year that way we get a different experience each time! I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
LuisMa Posted December 24, 2012 at 02:26 PM Posted December 24, 2012 at 02:26 PM I was actually both. But I guess the nice prevailed.

Edwin Posted December 24, 2012 at 06:38 PM Posted December 24, 2012 at 06:38 PM When I watch cooking shows I think "I can do that". Cut to actually making something and I feel clueless. Watching daytime tv on my day off

Belle Céline Posted December 24, 2012 at 10:16 PM Posted December 24, 2012 at 10:16 PM I think I'm the only person without any plans today. No family to do anything with, since well they never have Christmas parties or anything, one of my friends is having a family Christmas party right now, the other was out running errands so who knows what she's gonna do tonight, probably go home and go to bed. Tomorrow I have no plans either, other than going up to my brothers at some point to open the few gifts I got. I'll probably end up spending my day on the couch watching a christmas story all day long. “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
Koolan Posted December 25, 2012 at 12:40 AM Author Posted December 25, 2012 at 12:40 AM That's a lot to cook for, Sherri. Hope ya'll have a wonderful time. Mrs.Goldman Posted December 25, 2012 at 08:38 AM Posted December 25, 2012 at 08:38 AM I went out with my colleagues, then I went to my friend who works in a hostel nearby (where i stayed in the first days in Romania before I found an appartment), we saw a movie and then i ended up sleeping there on the couch.Woke up in the morning and did the walk of shame back home with a couple of elderly drunks.now hopefully i will mannage to pick myself up, ignore the hangover and start studying for informatics. :/ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg

Bell Posted December 25, 2012 at 02:07 PM Posted December 25, 2012 at 02:07 PM My cat ran away last night. I don't know where he's been but this morning he came back...walking on 3 legs ! I'm pretty sure that his leg isn't broken but it was bleeding and a nail is broken (or missing, he doesn't let me look closer because he's obviously in pain). I may have to take him to the vet tomorrow but I really hope that a good sleep will make him get better so we don't need to go to the doctor. One good thing is that he doesn't refuse water and food at all. 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
DionFanAlways Posted December 25, 2012 at 02:07 PM Posted December 25, 2012 at 02:07 PM Good Morning forum land! Merry Christmas! Guess where I'll be on Feb. 26th? Yep, I'm going to see Celine!!!!!! I have the best husband on the planet.... (sorry, I'm a little excited right now) 2 I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
Bell Posted December 25, 2012 at 06:02 PM Posted December 25, 2012 at 06:02 PM So... What did Santa bring you? I got a perfume (Celine's 'Belong') and a cute, small ceramic polar bear (you already know I love cats but I also love bears so my Daddy saw it and thought I'd like it). 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
Bell Posted December 25, 2012 at 06:09 PM Posted December 25, 2012 at 06:09 PM (edited) it goes like this:- Ordered a book a month ago- didn't arrive. they told me wait a few more days. still hasn't arrived.- Amazon ordered it again for me. was supposed to arrive today. didn't. they said wait till January 3rd.this is when i need to explain that in my building I have a post office branch. despite this fact, when i get letters or packages, they would give me a note that says i need to pick it up (sometimes even from the main post office and not the one in my building).- Today i came to the post office and asked if by any chance it got to them and they didn't give it to me. apparently it said the adress but not the appartment number (despite the fact that we have maybe 7 appartments in the building and my name is on my box) so they just kept it in the office. It was waiting there since December 5th...!!!Unfortunately, here in Bulgaria things are just the same... Unpleasant, to say the least. As for Mamaliga, we make it here, too. They call it 'Kachamak' and there are a few versions - with cheese and butter, with bacon, with oil and red pepper. Edited December 25, 2012 at 06:10 PM by Bell 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
celine-rc Posted December 25, 2012 at 09:17 PM Posted December 25, 2012 at 09:17 PM Merry Christmas everyone ! I'm spending it with my mothers family who we never see. It's a bit awkward but fun.
