LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:41 AM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:41 AM (edited) what happens is: I am on my phone and I want to quote 2 posts. I would need to reply to one then reply to the next one. If I do it quick enough it will merge by itself. If I dont it wont. Let's see if it worked for me. Ok same time tomorrow Luis! Mine was acting up yesterday, I couldn't see my post until I went back out of the topic. Let's see if mine also acts up from posting from the phone. Well, it did work for me. Sorry.Oh, don't be sorry, I just wanted to hear from you. I'll find another way to get in touch with you. 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:40 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:40 PM It seems the doomsday prediction for 11:11 GMT is now over. I'm superstitious for some things but not for others. I have a black cat, and I don't mind opening umbrellas inside the house, and some other things, but if I see a clown I become terrified, and I would NEVER walk under a ladder.
Bell Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:43 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:43 PM I'm not superstitious at all and I found that prediction stupid the very first time I heard about it. 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:45 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:45 PM (edited) I hope that you don't find my superstitions stupid. Or, that you think I'm stupid but my superstitions aren't. Edited December 21, 2012 at 12:46 PM by LuisMa
Bell Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:48 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:48 PM Well, I don't know if you're stupid or not but we're friends and I love you the way you are! 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:51 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 12:51 PM I guess stupidity is in the eye of the beholder. And thank you!!! I consider you to be a friend now as well, along with Adi, Sherri, Daniel, Enza, Sam, and all the other peeps that have been forum friends for years. 2
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:15 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:15 PM went to the gym. wasn't very satisfying... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
Bell Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:17 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:17 PM Why? I thought you liked it. 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:29 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:29 PM Why? I thought you liked it. What happened, Adi? I don't like the gym. i like the dance classes. two different things (and i am not big on the dance classes. one teacher is good, the rest are mediocre. i hardly sweat, it's not very challenging).a friend gave me a voucher he won for free entries to the gym until tomorrow and it's really close to my house so I said i'll use it coz anyway i want to get in better shape and i want to do some sports but it was quite boring this time.... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:34 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:34 PM Why don't you take another more challenging class, like kickboxing or spinning?
Bell Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:37 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:37 PM Yes, look for something else, something that would be more appealing to you. 16 YEARS A FORUM MEMBER
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:47 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:47 PM because dancing is what I love!when I was young and in Israel, I took amaazing dance classes. it was just "living" for those classes. again, i am not the best dancer but at one point i seriously considered changing my career path from singing to dancing because I loved it almost as much. kickboxing etc are probably nice but they are not very intelligent i think, like gym... or zumba <_<my fav is dancing, there is no competition. if i go to the gym, it would be to stay in shape but not much for the enjoyment. this gym is very quiet, there are almost no people there (which i thought was good), and it's close to my house and quite cheap. but maybe the lack of people is the problem. maybe i need more people and it will give me teh motivation, i don't know.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:55 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 01:55 PM Yeah, same thing happens here. There are two main gyms: one is super posh that I hate it. The other one is so empty that you don't feel motivated to do anything. I was telling my hb that we should empty a storage room that we have and create our own little gym there little by little. 1
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 02:13 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 02:13 PM yeah same here. i don't want to go to the expensive gym. it's far and more expensive and. I thought about buying a mattress and doing stuff at home but i don't know if i will actually do it.. :S http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 02:17 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 02:17 PM The problem with doing stuff at home is that the motivation only lasts a few days. That's why I'm still thinking about the stationary bike. In Costa Rica I bought one and I started doing exercise, which lasted two weeks, and the bike ended in a storage room. Same thing here. We got the Wii Fit, which some people think it doesn't help you, but you really do some exercise if you use it well... then again, same thing, the board is under the sofa, and we got a reminder the other day that it's been more than a year when we last used it. If you have people around and someone who tells you what to do, that's a very different thing.
sfbaysinger Posted December 21, 2012 at 03:49 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 03:49 PM Hey Bell, so sweet. Awww, we'll find a way.Yeah I used to think I could keep the motivation to do exercise at home...no way! Can't do it, gotta go actually work out!Adi, you wanna be a singer? Awesome. I used to want that before I lost all my sight, back when I was dumb enough th think I could be the first famous blind female singer... STUPID LAME Idea!! L'immensite de mon amour pour Celine! L'amour existe encore pour elle!
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 08:14 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 08:14 PM Adi, you wanna be a singer? Awesome. I used to want that before I lost all my sight, back when I was dumb enough th think I could be the first famous blind female singer... STUPID LAME Idea!! People here are really late from some reason. where were you all when I was 16 and wanted to be a singer. I gave that up ages ago..BTW, you shouldn't give that dream up because of your blindness, and on a relevant note, I don't think you should define yourself by your blindness. it's a big dissability but you are you - with or without eyesight.I never heard you sing but the other blind singers I know (s.e Stevie & Ray) are amazing so if that's any indication, you must be great too 4 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 10:37 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 10:37 PM I agree totally with Adi. A person cannot and will never be defined by any limitation they have. What matters is the drive, motivation and passion you set for the things you want to do in your life. And you may never achieve something you put your heart into doing, but if you tried, and were passionate about it, that's what matters. I know I may have done some other things in life that I didn't succeed in, but I picked myself up and tried something else. And now I'm happy that my life turned towards that direction... 2
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 10:52 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 10:52 PM On a different note,History of medicine is so much worse than Bioethics... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 10:55 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 10:55 PM (edited) Well, Bioethics sounds much more interesting. History sounds... complicated and too many dates to memorize. Edited December 21, 2012 at 10:56 PM by LuisMa
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:03 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:03 PM our version of Bioethics was pointless... there isn't any useful or practical information we picked out from it.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:06 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:06 PM I hate when you take courses that will never serve any purpose in life. I remember when I took my Master's in Education we had to take a course on Anthropology which I thought was going to be very interesting, but all we did was sit eight Saturdays for six long hours each listening to the professor talk non-stop without any discussion or activities! If you ask me now what I learned or what I remember from that course, I'll tell you: ZERO. And how I passed is still a miracle, because I don't remember what I wrote for the stupid papers we had to submit.
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:18 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:18 PM I can beat your story... and Bioethics in the exam we had one clinical case which is not very practical but let's say for the purpose of the discussion that it was somewhat related. the rest of the questions in the exam were trivia questions that have no importance what so ever such as "Who was the father of bioethics?" History of Medicine is not very interested but you'd think it's about important discoveries or something but it's mainly the history of medicine in romania and also in my specific faculty of medicine.. = no importance whatsoever... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:21 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:21 PM Oh yeah, I hate trivia type of questions. Sometimes I miss being a student, but when I remember those stupid filler courses that were just a waste of time, I think: no, thanks. But I do love being a teacher.
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:24 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:24 PM well I still got a 10 in bioethics so I guess I did something right hahah Problem with "History.." is that our teacher looks and sounds like Borat (I am not kidding) so most of the lesson people laugh at him and it's hard to concentrate. you also don't understand what he is trying to say so you have to try and make it up somehow.. he has no powerpoint presentation so i just take it from my notes but it's not at all understood... :S http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:28 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:28 PM OMG, my Anthropology professor did look like Borat as well, only that he had his mustache brown and wore glasses.
Mrs.Goldman Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:35 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:35 PM omg! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/CallingYou/shadowoflovesig-1.jpg
LuisMa Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:40 PM Posted December 21, 2012 at 11:40 PM Thank God that they don't wear the mankini.
