Thanks guys.... I haven't finished yesterdays' study plan so I planned to finish it this woke up late so it got delayed.

Then when i finally got to do the first task of today, i realized i didn't write it properly in my notebooks so a friend of mine had a good book to explain the practicals so i had to wait till he is available so i could take it from him. meanwhile i was goign crazy...

Ughhhhh the streets are so crowded. Thank God I finished my last errands. So now, PJs and slippers. :xmas_cool:

PJs and slippers here as well. My cat is sleeping in front of me so I'm getting sleepy just watching him... He looks so peaceful, so happy... Sometimes I wish (just don't laugh at me too much) to be a cat. Well, actually, a cat with a good, responsible owner. Is it too much to ask?

 but not too much. J/K

I hope my cats feel I'm a responsible owner. But I really like to pamper them and try to give them the best. The smaller one would give me a kiss every time I ask for one. She's so cute. And she'll be four next year. In my eyes, she's always going to be a baby.

I even got them their Christmas present today, which we unwrap together. But then, I guess they love the ball of wrapping paper more than the gift itself. :mdr:

Talking about Christmas, I'd like to know what are the traditional meals for Christmas Eve and Christmas in your country. Cooking is one of my hobies so I'm just curious. Here in Bulgaria we have 5, 7 or 9 meals fo Christmas Eve. No meat, milk or eggs. Beans, pumpkin and homemade bread (BTW, making it is fun for me) are the most important ones. On Christmas day we usually eat pork.

In Costa Rica, tamales are very traditional for this time of year. It's fun because all the members of the family are involved in the making. And you can make them with any ingredient you want. If you're a vegetarian, no problem, as vegetables are a main part of them, just don't add the meat. Right now I believe my parents, grandma and siblings are making a huge batch.

I found a page with a recipe, but I don't know if you will be able to find all the ingredients here in Europe, especially the corn masa (dough), which I haven't found.

Good idea! :xmas:

Then, here in Catalonia, something very traditional is the "Sopa de Galets" which is soup with big shell-like pasta.

Also, cannelloni with ground beef and a delicious beschamel sauce is another treat.

There can also be a nice beef stew with bolets, which are the regional mushrooms. Lots of hams and cheeses.

A nice cava and wine will never be absent, and there will be delicious wafers and pastries...

Those are just a couple of examples. Catalonian cuisine is very varied and nice.

Isn't corn masa just corn flour with water? or as we call it in Romania - Malai...

If it's corn flour, then it's very easy to find here.

Adi, yes it's some type of corn flour. But it's strange because I've never seen something similar to the one they make in my country. I bought some corn flour here but it's not as starchy as the one they use over there. Maybe it's the region's touch.

That corn flour looks yummy.

I tried to prepare tortillas here the other day, and the corn flour I used wasn't good enough. I miss my Masa Rica.

Maybe it's some special kind of corn.

Yes, the corn should be the cause why it's different.
