What's this new board you speak of?

In order to upgrade the forum a copy of it is made and an upgrade is applied to it. That's the 2nd/new board which will eventually be the one everyone will be using it once skins and mods are upgraded as well. I was just saying since it will be an overhaul (it looks really different) may as well use that to jump start restructuring of the content.

And dhruv, it would matter what you think. I don't know what you're referring to about tomorrow with a new beginning and all, but I hope it's not leaving here and that it is not us you will miss. Whatever it is, I am quite sure you will do it more than right.

Yes I did, only because I was a complete idiot and invited one of my teachers on facebook, it was fine until he made a big fool of himself and went across the line.

I really love that idea Daniel! I've had many, many (too many) bad teachers in my life, a few weird ones (HP and the religion teacher just to name two) and veyr few good ones (you can count them on one hand, I swear!). I love that idea! I'm sure that that people would have some very interesting stories to share!

 

Another day... They changed the math class today, without telling us, I got lost in a hallway... I saw S... I think she wonders why I asked her if she was going to do be part of the newspaper next year... She'll find out soon enough (will try to tell her before everyone else). Must do math homework... Only two days left and then it's March break!!!!!!!!! I can't stand school (the work) anymore!!! Next year, with regular math, no science, things should be ok.

Roxanne, I can totally relate. I haven't had a lot of really good teachers either. Most of them were okay, but only two were exceptional! I had some special needs in the classroom (very long story...) and I found that most of my teachers - particularly in high school - just ignored that.

What I don't understand is, since when does being a crazy Celine fan entitle one to be a moderator? From my experience in various forums, a moderator should be unbiased and have a very balanced view of the posts that is being written by the members and not drool and sniff out the people who've seen Celine multiple times or the likes. A moderator has to be objective and not show any favouritism. Also, technical skills are needed to create, organize and manage the posts inside the threads. I don't know how it is here, but in a particular tech-forum, we need that. Maybe it's different here.

 

Maybe I'm seeing too big a picture here but I don't know why there should be an "election" to choose a mod. This isn't a popularity contest IMO. Let's save that for the forum awards, if that ever happens.

 

BTW is there going to be a complete overhaul within the moderators or just a couple of more are going to be added to the list. I think it would be better to let this be decided within the moderators and the admins. The other members should not be the one "choosing" them. Sure, an opinion can be formed but that should not be deemed as final as it doesn't have the consent of all or majority of the members.

Regarding the forum, I think we should wait and watch until the new board is ready and then give the suggestions as to what should be there. But I do like many of the points stated by John, Davey and the rest.

Anyways, these were just my two cents. Ignore it if you want.

I agree. A mod don't have to be the most popular fan on the forum. So "election" is unnecessary for choosing a mod.

Whoa, that's intense J-Man!

 

I saw Barry Manilow tonight and I have to admit I was only going cause the tickets were cheap But I loved it! He had some witty banter in between and great stories before his songs. He sang new and old songs and ended with the trifecta "Mandy" Copacabana" and "I Write The Songs" Was awesome!

 

And Celine's Wax looks soo good. Can't wait to take a pic with it next month. Yes my Vegas plans must go onnnn.

It is very true what you said. I have had many ordinary teachers but there is one, maybe two that I can qualify as extraordinary!! I am sorry to hear that they didn't seem bothered by your problem , that just not right when your job is to teach someone and make sure they do the very best they can.
