Is Grégoire just now hitting Québec? He was popular in France with Toi+Moi back in late 2008.

 

I adore that album. One of the best pop records that were released that year IMO. Lots of memories associated with the title track :wub2:

I personally don't like him. I thought "Ta main" was nice but all the other singles including toi+moi weren't so great, I don't like his voice either. I was following mymajorcompany from its initiation and could never understood why he hit the success he did...

 

Can you believe I don't even like his duet with JJG? :o

That's weird, Adi but it's personal taste. Life for example, I like JJG as a songwriter/producer but as a singer, oh hell no! The only song that I can bear of him is "La Bas" but maybe cos half of the singing is done by his female duet singers :P

haha I used to be like that and I didn't understand how come he's such a big singer in France but then I heard some songs from his "En Passent" album and fell inlove. yes his voice isn't amazing but the way he sings the songs (emotionally) makes it possible to rise above the vocals and appreciate his songs for what they are - amazing!

 

since then, I've also seen his live DVDs and fell inlove even more. I would go to the edge of the universe ..( :fofolle: haha ... geddit?) to see him in concert, if he could only un-retire..

Ok then, I will try and explain it this way then. I got an email from Adobe telling me how people can get upto $200 off their software. As part of the TOS (I will post that in one second) it explains what countries can take up the offer. It said that Québec is excluded.

 

Ok here part of what they said:

Had a great day yesterday. Went for a drive with my guy. 9 hours later we got back home. It was the second longest drive of my life! :lol:

But he bought me The Essential Celine Dion 2CD, and we listened to that. So I was quite in my element.

Yay, so happy The Artist did so well at the Oscars. Love that film, I am so old school. Also Meryl Streep, what a woman! :wub:

I think their rules on contests etc are different then other parts of Canada. So by having different rules it does exclude them from certain contests. I may be wrong, but wuite sure someone told me it's because of something like this.

You totally lost me Daniel but I think that I know what you mean... Yes, things are sometimes a bit different because of the language but it's not really a problem most of the time....

 

Monsieur Lazhar didn't win an Oscar... It's ok. He still got amazingly far! :)

It's a bit showery today, but yeah we have very nice weather here right now. 9 degrees+

Hopefully it will be okay over next day or so, otherwise I won't get a chance to plant any of these.

I know! :cry: I was totally heart-broken when I read that :crybaby: And nopes, it wasn't the Collectors Area but the Charity area, which is why my act has been deemed fit for a ban.

 

 

Speaking of the forum not being how it used to be, I concur. The attachment is gone. Well, at least for me. And unfortunately, some of the members here make me want to just quit this place, but then, there are the rest of you who change my mind and let me be here.

Glad you felt better, Bobby. I had one few hours back and had to darken the entire room with no lights on and switch off my phone as well cos my head was pounding even with the tiniest light there was :wacko:

Nah, I'm just being over dramatic here. Don't take my posts too seriously.

 

And "L’étincelle" means "The Spark" in French. I took that from the song "Innamoramento" (Italian for "a new born love" or the spark of a new love or even nascent love) by Mylène Farmer where she sings how that spark can dispel the grey of the modern life and make it more colourful with happiness and uncertainty. :flowers:

 

OK, I went a little over-board with that explanation :giggle:
