What's on your mind right now?

*Darren, I'm sorry for your loss. May your Aunt rest in peace.

* Dhruve, Alex, Davey,, John, thanks all for your comments.

*Davey, I totally agree with you. I would loooooooove to discuss her songs again. That's what I came here for personally.

*Katie, you should not leave, and btw, i think I may have started this conversation. And I want more of this kind of honest, open discussion here too. You can always ask me anything. I do not always get the abreviations. It can be old sometimes answering questions, but I don't mind doing it.

*Claudette...LOL, thank you for giving such a descriptive, detailed visual of that...thing. It makes me glad I can't see but you did it for me LOL

I'm not sure what the forum used to be like or what I missed, but all I know is, I looooooooove it now. I have no desire to leave. I feel like revisiting songs from old albums could give older fans a new outlook, and as we see every point of the 8-pointed star that is Celine's songs, as we see every shade of all colors of the rainbows that is everyone's views of songs, we expand. :D

A little poetic, I know, but oh well...

Caitlyn, you are by no means a thorn in anyone's behind. We enjoy your on the forum.

Bobby's right, it's Lisa Frank world here now.

Who!! LOL

I was thinking...and btw, completely agree with Alex, I like newer/younger fans. I enjoy them coming and asking me questions, like, what album is this on, or when did she do that live? Sure they can find things like that in the net, wikipedia, fan sites etc. but I think it's more personable when they come to a fan who can say, oh she did that in ... year and btw, have you seen when she did it two years ago!

I am sure that those who have been here since its inception are sick of answering questions. I Bet. God damn it as a blind person who has lived with it for 28 years, I can sure understand frustration with answering the same damn questions again and again. Yes I dress myself. Yes I am walking around all by myself. No I do not have a dog and I do not want one. Etc. It does get annoying, belieeeeeeeeeeeeve me I know. So maybe what I'm saying is coming from a younger person to be here. I am not a new fan but a new forum-er, and so I do not mind right now answering questions. As sometimes I still have a few myself.

I do have to say...I feel taken in here, accepted in to the fold of fandom and being here. I don't know most of the old jokes and there is still a deep core exclusive club I will never be part of. But I do feel like you have opened the door and let me in to n extent. So thank you.

Sorry about your loss Darren x

Bobby, you're one of life's little rays of sunshine :P

Davey's so right. We need to find a way to focus on some of Celine's greatest works. Her career is what brings us here and we should be making that the most prominent part of the forum. And so I'm going to make another of my suggestions

Someone needs to get in there and re-arrange the Celine Discussions section. It's a right palava that so many of the more important topics based on Celine are all under the one section.

Surely we could have a dedicated section for discussing Celine's Albums. With seperate topics for each album. (maybe one topic for pre-sony years, one topic for discussing non-album songs etc)

Then stickie these topics so they always remain on the top of the Albums discussion section and don't end up getting lost and thereby getting other topics opening up on the same album. This is just one of the things that could be done. A similar system of specialist sections works very well already in the fan lounges where collectors area, Fan sites, graphic talk etc are simple to find. Except that they are so far down the home page that they are often not even noticed by many fans.

Furthermore, couldn't moderators constantly add relevant news to the very first post in an upcoming album thread, so that the discussions can still take place behind it, but for all the latest up to date news you just need to go to the very first post of the topic.

Look at all of these reorganization ideas!

It would be very nice to have actual discussions that were worth reading and not having to pick through nonsense.

Discussions has been long overdue for an overhaul. I think as we test the upgraded version of the forum software we should use that as an opportunity to reorganize the site itself. This has already been brought up in the Mod section and the lack of response from mods is terrible. This will be revisited as well. And I totally agree that the first post of a a topic be updated. I've always disliked the subtitle Pics on Page blah and Videos on Page blah. I like how the Jamaica thread at least had that information in the first post.

Looks like J-Man decided to get the ball rolling in discussing this more. Please bring on your suggestions: http://www.celinedionforum.com/Suggestions...rum-t50194.html

Oh I'm bouncing off the walls here this is GRRRRRRREAT...Discussions has seriously needed it. John, I love it!!!! I agree with everything, we need that. I want more actually discussions than bickering. I know for one I'd be more likely to go to Discussions mroe often. I've stayed away from it because it gets...so sticky.

It is her and her singing that brought us here, that should be a focus, yes.

Edwin...,y dear...you singer you...I happen to love when it says video on page ... I NEED that. But If it were on the first post and Easily Accessible to all, I would not mind that. I still have, as a blind person, my concerns that this forum will no longer be accessible to my talking computer, but I'll have to burn that Golden Gate bridge when we get there...lOL

Bobby...rock on, Desperate Housewife of, can't remember what your county is. We soooooooooooooo need more active mods, ones that actually care about her and this site!

I enjoy as an older fan being able to come along and help the younger ones, but we all learn from it here. No matter what her new album is, I cannot wait because I know I couldn't do it any better than her. After all, "nobody does it better..."

:D

Who do you have in mind?

me :P

its well over due Edwin lol.

 haha isnt he though?

But actually I think it's silly that Darren isn't a mod of the Celine discussion section already. Same goes with Davey (yeah I know he's my mate, but I still think he'd be a great mod for it. Currently he's the mod of the collectors area and he's always done a great job with that. It's like a well oiled machine in there, and still maintains its sense of fun)

They are both great in their knowledge and love of Celine. And I think they're both level headed and pretty fair minded. So I say get them two involved. We need to keep having big Celine fans as moderators of the Celine sections.

I won't vote for Alex cause while he has great knowledge, I think he has more fun as one of the forum rebels. :P

I actually had a third in mind that hasn't been mentioned yet.

On a different note, I've felt so much better today. I don't know what was up this last week but I had a weird mix of rage and sadness. Glad that went away cause today would have le sucked.

Hmm, who are the other 2 in that list of 4? And as the forum changes you would suggest adding someone ANCIENT like Davey or you? :P

Id rather keep my nominations to myself until the official MOD Elections 2012 ;)

And ancient, the cheek of you, you joined here 3 months after me old timer!

EDIT: Goodnight all, have a good one :P

I am the Joan of Arc of the forum. Like Joan, I am a saint. Not a rebel.

So get the English off of my land!!!!

I would vote Darren, however! He's great fun, knowledgeable, and has a good reputation here.

EDWIN GETS CARDED FOR R MOVIES?! :lmao:

...I hardly even get carded at bars these days and I'm a youngster! :shifty: Maybe that means I am too much of a regular?

And I don't think the experience of the mod really matters, more about their levelheadedness and wanting to keep things organized and worthwhile. </my_two_cents>

Depends on the theatre I go to. Haha, I think its cause you're a regular at bars! I for the most part get carded at bars but not at my local grocery store. :whistling:

I want some change back from those two cents. :mdr: Besides your own self, who would you nominate Bobby?

Here are my nominations,

Amanda runs the country music section

Bobby runs the fashion and cooking section

Whoever was talking about gardening gets that one

it's a toss-up between who gets the gay threads

and Darren, John or Bobby would make great mods for discussions.

I hope you don't leave, Edwin, as a mod or a member.

And the day they come up with a blind people section...you know who to call

I know I'm a bit late for this conversation, but I just want to say that one thing that I really appreciate about this place (and that I find that we've been sort of lacking a bit in the past few weeks but I'm sure it will come back) is that we can have conversations, we don't always agree but can talk and even if we don't agree, still be friends and things go on. We don't always have to agree but just that we respect each others opinion. I really don't want to leave this place, I know that I will have less time as the years go by but I don't want to leave. I love it here.

22/24 on my math test!!!! I can't believe it!!!!! That's like 92%! IN MATH!!!! High point of my day... :maniac:

Merci Céline pour ces deux soirées inoubliables que j'ai passées à tes côtés. Je ne les oublierais jamais.

J't'adore Céline.

Merci.

I got an email this morning asking when I can come in for a interview, I just can't wait. If I get the job, I get to work in a large datacentre and from what I been told, it can be a little cold in there.

The same people that have been floating around as nominations would be my pick as well. The veterans would be a very good thing to have around keeping things in order. You know who you are :shifty:

I know what you mean. A few years back when me and a friend went out every second weekend she was always able to get me into the bars at no charge. I even got a few free drinks out of it. It was great.
