What's on your mind right now?

I feel a little sad today. Since my son was born, we knew he was partially sighted in his left eye. We tried everything, patches, glasses but eventually the hospital said that they werent working and so to stop with the treatment. We went back to the opticians today and the lady who saw my little boy told us that his sight had worsened and so he is basically blind in that eye now.

 

I know that I should be very grateful that he has the sight in his right eye, and I am , but we realised today that he will never be able to become a policeman, or a soldier etc etc. I feel angry that my little boy cannot see, but I can. I wish God would take the sight of my eyes and allow him to see properly.

 

As a mom I am supposed to make my son better when he is poorly, but there is nothing I can do to help him and I feel so helpless.

 

Aw, I can understand why you feel that way, but as long as he's got loving parents who support him I'm sure he'll grow up feeling there's nothing he can't do

Oh okay, I thought maybe when I said I wished I could get away too you thought I was like giving an attitude. I really did mean I wish I could get away. I've had so much class work lately, I cannot wait until Thanksgiving break in a couple weeks so I get a break from having things due almost every other day.

aww Zoe. I imagine that would be so hard as a mom to deal with- you are a great mom! I'm sure it will make him stronger in other ways and even if he can't be those things you said, there are so many things he can do!

Tried to watch a dvd and my dad made me turn it off, tried to play a music video he liked on tv he got mad and told me to just leave the room and I won't even start about that rude guy earlier.

 

Is this night over with yet? I just want to go to sleep. At least I will be out of the house tomorrow.

Thanks for all the hugs guys! I just want to forget everything that happened in the past few weeks and get on with my life. And this break with my parents next weekend comes just at the right time. Hopefully the rest of my year will be less eventful.

 

By the way, does anybody know whether or not that gel goo that they put on your belly during an ultrasound stains? I just noticed when I was sorting out my laundry that that dude got some of it all over my T-shirt. If it stains, I'm gonna kick his butt, cute or not!

i dont think it stains. then again, i was wearing a black shirt when i had to do an ultrasound lol. i think if it washes right off your skin, it shouldnt stain

Good, I was just thinking I'm gonna go give him a piece of my mind. I had a blue shirt on and it kind of left some marks on it, but I'm just gonna put it is the wash and see what happens.
