Most of them but not all of them!

 

Read my post from October 2008 :

 

It was said during the week preceding the broadcast here. The original show duration was about 3 hours. Of course, they couldn't show a long show like that with commercials and everything. So they reduced it to two hours with less commercials then usual too. In fact, they edited all the songs sang in solo by Céline's guess and about three songs that Céline did on the Plains. I think that night there was not "S'il n'en restait qu'une" and "On ne change pas" and another one I don't recall now. I think they did a good job, it gave the feeling of that night, what people wanted to hear and see I think...which is....A LOT OF CÉLINE!!! I like what they did, it was great except for not showing 2 or 3 more songs Céline did. Oh yes I remember now, it didn't show "J'irai où tu iras" that Nanette did with Céline.

 

It showed some backstage footage in rehearsal too the last time. As of now, I'm not sure if the second part will be 1 hour or more. I'll post it here if there is somes changes but I don't think it will be different this time than the last but we'll see...

I know this may be lots of work but will someone please make a word for word, French-to-English transcript and translation of all the conversations and talk from beginning to end of the Celine Sur Les Plaines DVD. Before, during, and after the show. Thanks!!!

 

 

You know what?? I was watching the DVD last night and was thinking the exact same thing.

Does anyone have the MP3's of the other songs she sang with the band Mes Aieux? I have Degeneration but I'd like the others.

We worked hard yes, but it's worth it. Like all the thanks we have it's so great. I love to do some things like that for other fans and on top of that it helps me practicing my english if one day I want to teach english I need to work on it hahaha !!! Edited by Véronyk

Oh you really should Vic, it's a great concert.

 

I started with this idea back in December, during Xmas I had some free time and started working on a draft, I watched the DVD from time to time after work, maybe for just an hour and paused it every 2 seconds to write down the dialogues, it was hard if not impossible at some parts considering they are using a lot of Quebec culture references which I was not familiar with. But I was so curious and really wanted to understand it all. So when I finished the draft (about a month ago) I asked 2 amazing québocoises to help me fill in all the blanks and correct the french transcript. Really like I said without Lou and Véro I'd never been able to finish this.

 

I had a lot of fun during the process and really learned a lot of new words and I'm just happy to contribute spreading Celine love . I'm happy you guys are enjoying it. Lou is still working on some corrections to the English version, little spelling details and that sort of things, if any of you guys would like to contribute with side notes or corrections please feel free to do so .

 

The ultimate goal is actually to work on a subtitled version (English subtitles) , does anyone know of a good software to add subtitles to this concert?

You took the words out of my mouth! I'm not sure what's best to use, but a subtitled DVD would be amazing!! :w00t:

 

I'd use SmartRipper to rip the DVD to .vob or .avi fomat in its original quality if that helps. It's free. If you like I could PM you with a link. :flowers:

Now when I finally could handle it, I wanted to download the HD videos for this concert from Multimedia section.

Unfortunately the files are offline and I assume they won't be back online?? :( :( :(

 

So my quastion: is there an official HD release of this concert? (Blu-ray) which i could purchase? If yes, where? I looked for it but without success...

 

If there isn't such official release, maybe a kind fan could send me these files on DVD discs or such? Of course I'd refund all shipping & handling costs, that's not an issue. :flowers:

It is not available on blu-ray yet (as far as I know), but you can buy the DVD on amazon. It is a must have for every Celine fan. :wub:
