The only full live concert DVDs for sale in America are AND and TCWT both recorded after her prime.

Wouldnt it be great for her 40th Anniversary to get a box set of all her tours on Blu-ray? Damn, that would make my day.

American fans also had Live in Memphis (during her prime) but you're right, not on dvd.
Same here but we can dream I guess ! The only thing we might get for her 40th Anniversary are posts on social medias, with one or two new pictures and... That's it :sofunny: :sofunny: Hope I'm wrong.
By the way I'll never understand why the LTAL world tour (American Leg) was never released or even got a TV broadcast (just like the live in Memphis). She was at her prime, My Heart Will Go On was phenomenon, people wanted her. Maybe with the huge success of FIY (both album and tour) they thought it would be too much so they decided to realease the French leg instead as American fans already had Memphis one year ago and last Live release for french market was already 4 years ago,1995.

There was a push years back to get to release "Live In Memphis" on DVD and the same naysayers were saying the same things about certain fans being "too demanding" :wtf: And yet here we are.

We want to support you by buying your concert videos. So, yes! We want those unreleased DVDs/VHS to be released.

A DVD-Boxset with all her Tour-concerts (remastered) + a new concert (2017/2019 (London). How amazing would that be. I suggested it in the Team Celine topic. Come on Sony/TC.

To those who might happen to see this, relating to lets talk about love tour bootlegs, we have all of them that have been previously discussed on this forum before, including Edinburgh, and all of new Orleans, but in addition to that we have Anaheim, October 1998 and Osaka, January 1999. They are all available on YouTube. Also, I almost forgot to mention the Providence video bootleg, not sure if thats been mentioned.

I really don't know if anyone likes technical details and facts as much as I do, but using the Wayback Machine I was able to go back to 1998/1998 and read various reviews of the tour from the time from newspapers and fans, and learned a few new details. Maybe some of you will also find this interesting!

Aug 22, 1998 at Fleet Center, Boston, USA
This was the second show of the tour. Celine's microphone was not working when she came back on stage at the end of "Love Can Move Mountains" and it took about a minute to fix it. During the introduction to "Immortality" when Celine talks to the Bee Gee's, everything was out of synch with the video footage. The pre-recorded footage of the Bee Gee's was then turned off and they just used live footage of Celine instead. There was also an error during "Tell Him" when the footage of Celine was out of synch with her vocals at some point in the middle of the song, it corrected itself towards the end. The reviewer questioned if she was really singing this song live...oops! As Celine was leaving the stage and walking through the audience, her security guards kept standing on her dress and getting in the way and it was noted she kept turning around and looking to see what was happening...same thing happened during the TC tour years later.

The strap to Celine's top snapped during the show, nearly exposing her. A fan threw his cap to her and she said "I feel it in my soul!" and used it to cover her chest until she went to change costume.

One fan wrote in his review: "Love Can Move Mountains starts, and Celine starts jumping up and down.... and BOOM, the strap on her shirt broke and down it fell. She hurried up and pulled it up, and had to try to finish the song holding that side of her shirt up. Celine was singing "Do you believe this?" and kept swinging her broken strap around. Finally, someone threw a baseball cap on stage, so Celine bends down, grabs it, opened it up and used it to cover her breast up. The band and backup singers were laughing hysterically. Eventually, she ran off stage and changed into her 'Saturday Night Fever' outfit. When she came back on stage, she ran to every side of the stage and pretended to 'flash us' to show everyone that her breasts were covered up." Celine talks about this during her appearance on the Rosie O'Donnell Show.

During this show, Celine's "My Heart Will Go On" dress was very similar to her iconic blue Oscars dress by Michael Kors and she was even wearing the Heart of the Ocean necklace, which was as far as we know completely unique to this show and neither the dress nor the necklace were ever used again.

During the show, Celine disappeared off stage and then returned a few moments later, except this time it was actually the comedian Anna Gasteyer, wearing the exact same clothing and speaking in a funny accent. She came back on at the end of the show also wearing Celine's ballgown and started to sing MHWGO! Footage of this has been used on various TV shows such as VH1's Behind The Music.

Celine sang "Fly" as a special tribute to a member of her team whos father had just died and mother was present in the audience. She had the lyrics in front of her, due to the fact she doesn't normally sing this song. Based on that, I imagine it was performed during the acoustic medley. The reviews say it was extremely emotional.

Oct 07, 1998 at Saddledome - Calgary, Canada
At the start of "My Heart Will Go On" the elevator used to raise Celine up to the stage got stuck and Celine had to climb out herself.

Nov 29, 1998 at Pittsburgh Civic Arena - Pittsburgh, USA
Originally scheduled for September 12 but had to be re-arranged as workers discovered shortly before the show that one cable helping to hold up 90,000 pounds of production rigging was loose. In the rearranged show, Celine sang some Christmas songs which apparently put people in the Christmas spirit, including a performance of "Blue Christmas". Which I find odd, since it was still November.

Jun 14, 1999 at Amsterdam Arena - Amsterdam, Holland
The tour returned after a break while Rene underwent cancer treatment. During the break the LED heart stage was upgraded by SACO Smartvision, giving it a more professional appearance and less jagged edges. You can see the before and after here:

This show was dedicated to all those who suffered as a result of the Columbine High School shooting in April of that year. All proceeds from the show as well as Celine's fee were donated to the Colorado Organization for Victim Assistance. The high school’s chorus that joined Celine during "Let's Talk About Love" all wore "We are Columbine" t-shirts, a powerful slogan of solidarity commonly used at the time. A special song entitled "Friend of Mine, Columbine" was performed by Barnev Valsaint, written by Columbine High School students Jonathan and Stephen Cohen.  White roses were handed out to special guests as a token of peace. Celine then greeted survivors of the shooting on stage. This was the inaugural (first ever) event held at the arena and the audience were presented with a special keychain in a presentation box to celebrate.

Oct 22-24, 1999 at Circus Maximum Theater, Atlantic City, USA
This show used an end stage and according to reviews, Celine did not wear her Kimono to sing "Let's Talk About Love", she just appeared in the white pant suit from the start. For "My Heart Will Go On" she wore the rarely used silver ballgown dress, the same one she wore in Amsterdam a few months earlier but she did not wear the jacket this time.

Final show of the tour. Celine sang TTWII as it was her current single at the time, having been released a few days earlier. You can now hear this on YouTube as I uploaded it a couple of weeks ago.

Oh but this was a fun read!
Some things I knew already. I remember seeing the pictures with that baseballcap in a music magazine back in those days.
Would love to see better pictures of her in a blue dress for MHWGO

Originally scheduled for September 12 but had to be re-arranged as workers discovered shortly before the show that one cable helping to hold up 90,000 pounds of production rigging was loose. In the rearranged show, Celine sang some Christmas songs which apparently put people in the Christmas spirit, including a performance of "Blue Christmas". Which I find odd, since it was still November.

The high schools chorus that joined Celine during "Let's Talk About Love" all wore "We are Columbine" t-shirts, a powerful slogan of solidarity commonly used at the time.

Regarding the November 29, 1998 showI dont find it odd that she sang Christmas songs in that concert. She had just released TAST a few weeks prior, and it was also just a couple of days before December.

Man, do I wish we had footage of those earlier 1998 concerts, like the ones before New York. Interesting there were so many technical difficulties the second night in Boston, I wonder what was up with that? Also, its funny you mentioned a choir singing lets talk about love in Denver, I was just listening to that bootleg a couple weeks back and noticed that the sound of different than usual. What is the choir typically pre-recorded? She always announces a different choir name at the end of each performance for that particular song, but some of the kids singing sound identical, but it seems like a couple of them may have actually been singing live? I wish we had more footage of her singing songs from These Are Special Times.

I believe Diana King sang, treat her like a Lady on stage in 1998, if my memory is correct, I believe it was one of the Madison Square Garden dates.

Does make more sense if you consider the TAST release. Would be interesting to know if any of the Christmas songs continued into the pre-Christmas shows, as she was still performing right up to December 18 in Canada. We don't have reviews for all of those but there is a bootleg listed, just no longer shared.

Diana King sang at 3 shows as far as we know:

September 3, 1998 - Madison Square Garden, New York
September 30, 1998 - Ice Palace, Tampa
October 3, 1998 - National Car Rental Center - Ft. Lauderdale (this was the show the Bee Gees also performed, and this is the show where Rosie O'Donnell was in the audience and Celine introduced her while she was trying to be incognito, she talks about it during the CBS special.)

I believe it started as live choir, you can hear this in the Philadelphia footage on YouTube which sounds much more raw and unpolished. On this performance you hear individual voices very clearly. But they seemed to introduce a backing track shortly after, probably as a bit of a failsafe and to give a more full sound. As you say you can hear the same choir sound on all of the live recordings. I had this story from the Seattle show.

Oct 10, 1998 at KeyArena - Seattle, USA
An interesting story about the selection of the chilren's choir who performed at this show:

"What Celine wanted was a multi-racial choir of 24 children ages 7 to 12. The Sun Hak Choir had plenty of children in that age range, including several Asian children, but was lacking in African Americans, so an emergency effort had to be undertaken right away to add more "color" to the choir. The gospel choir at God’s Anointed Temple quickly organized auditions, and three black children were selected. The next morning, Ms. Kubo walked into the principal’s office at African American Academy, a local public elementary school, and explained the urgent need for this amazing opportunity. The principal was very excited and immediately took action by escorting Ms. Kubo around to classrooms for more auditions. From those auditions three more children were selected.

Now Sun Hak Choir was truly a multi-cultural choir with all races represented! But the choir’s work had only just begun. Five intense rehearsals would have to suffice to get the music learned and memorized. Pop music, with its syncopated lyrics, was a genre which the Sun Hak Choir had never sung before, and two-part harmony was a challenge for the 7 and 8-year-olds-but they mastered the music with clarity and confidence.

The date finally came, and the 24 choir members converged on KeyArena for the big event. The choir rehearsed and practiced stage placement with Celine’s choreographer, who was quite impressed with the choir’s accomplishment after only one week of preparation. After working with dozens of children’s choirs around the country, the choreographer rated the Sun Hak Choir as "A+" and "one of the best." Celine came out just minutes before the performance to pose some group photos with the choir, then we were on! "Let’s Talk About Love" was the first song of the night, and Celine was joined on stage by the purest bunch of kids she’ll ever sing with on her tour. The Sun Hak Choir sounded as professional as any children’s choir out there. They absolutely glowed and showed no signs at all of nervousness in spite of singing to a sold-out audience of 20,000!"

I also found a story from one of the kids who performed with Celine in Philadelphia in 1998, it turns out that whole choir was requested to join Celine at the three Atlantic City shows the following year as no choir could be assembled. So that choir got to perform with Celine 4 times!

What I also found interesting is that in concert photos from Madison Square Gardens we have, the name of the kids choir "Highbridge Voices" is written on a label on the back of Celine's microphone. I wonder if this was in case she forgot the name?

One more interesting thing I couldn't verify (as there was only 1 review for this show and so nothing to back it up):

Oct 21, 1998 at Great Western Forum - Inglewood, USA
According to a fan review posted on the official website, Celine sang "The Reason" as a duet with Carole King.

I know Carole King performed with Celine in Canada, during the show at the Molson Center (the one where Celine was presented with her billboard awards). But I can't find anything to confirm she was also at the Inglewood show or anything to say Carole was on tour or possibly in the area. So this is unconfirmed unless someone who went can let us know!

I have two old analog pictures of the silver gown (with jacket) she was wearing in Amsterdam during MHWGO.

WOW thank you for all these amazing info you collected!
