Sadly, I think it will take Celine dying (God-forbid) for us to get any legitimate item of her material manufactured. That's when we'll finally get the TRUE unreleased material, the "exclusive" footage from various concerts, better "collectors" items, etc. I hate to be so morbid, but that is a fact when it comes to show business.

- "I'm Alive" missing from the CD
- "The Show Must Go On" missing from the CD
- A mediocre (at best) album cover
- Cheap album/DVD housing
- Lack of CD tracklist on the back
- Lack of exclusive performances such as "That's Just The Woman In Me," "Can't Fight The Feelin'," or "Think Twice"
- The same Vegas medley in the same exact fashion
- Not enough Celine originals - too many covers
- Not enough upbeat material for a tour that was meant to promote and prove that Celine was taking artistic chances
- Only 1 song from the D'elles album (French edition) when "A cause" would have proven she was taking chances
- The poor editing of "I Drove All Night"'s intro
- Pathetic typos to the song titles on the French edition ("Love Can Move Mountain" instead of "Love Can Move Mountains" and "We Will Rock" instead of "We Will Rock You")

I did the same thing as you. I went to Walmart and I saw the CD/DVD then I 've put it back; Unlike you, I pre-ordered the CD/DVD french concert and Deluxe Edition from Celinedion.com; I was searching for the english version of CD/DVD I didn't find any. I'm actually REALLY against the new policy that we have here in QC; there's more and more French canadian edition released in this part of the country; it's hard to find the US editions.

They should have used the other night's! The grammar on this CD is a little off. I feel like whoever put the disc together showcased these moments.
I liked her version of ML better on the ML compilation. I bet using her Sweden concert would have made a better CD/DVD

I have a feeling using her singing this whole show while picking her own tomatoes would have been better than what was put out to the stores.

2) I completely agree with 100% of Lindsay post! Everything is true! (except maybe for TT)
3) What the h*** is wrong with some people here?
4) I wonder what are they doing with all the things they filmed if they don't want to show them to us
5) They could have done a really good Job! But they put less bonus than AND and there was more things to say and show from this tour!
5) And no Celine Will not be sad! And I don't care about Celine being sad when she doesn't care about what are the stuff that are released!!!!!

Nah, I'm sorry but even then I think they will dissapoint us. ;-) They will release stuff never seen before for the general public, we already had seen it all by then ;-)
but god wouldnt that be amazing, finally all the demo's, videos, concerts, pictures would be released

There's absolutely nothing special about this release. I'll eventually get it, but not until it's for a cheaper price (or used) and when my purchase won't count towards the first week sales.[/quote]

Lol I'm sorry to help you out of that dream... we really only gonna get the hardcover booklet ;-)
at least it's a hardcover booklet ;-) Maybe the kind 1f4t was.
But yeah i wished they had more material on it, then i would really be a DELUXE edition, now it's a luxe edition to get more money ;-)
Maybe in the future when they decide to release Blurays of the concerts.
I really think we should let Feelings/Productions J know about all this!!

Honestly I am dumbfounded by the amount of whining, ungratefulness, and ridiculous things people are complaining about. Yes you have every right, so please don't let me stop you, and this is a discussion forum, so everyone has every right to say any crappy, nasty, or nice thing they want, but I am just amazed at some of the attitudes here. (I don't want one single person to jump on me about everyone having a right to their opinion because I'm not disputing that)
Everyone thinks they have all the answers. Everyone thinks they should be Celine's manager and tell her everything we want her to do because we are all incredibly selfish and want Celine's career and choices to be everything we want them to be to please us. We want her to sing all the songs that we want to hear and have absolutely no regard for the general public appeal. I have news for most of you: This forum's fan representation does not make up even a microscopic fraction of a microscopic fraction of the amount of albums that Celine has sold, nor did we put even that amount of money in her pocket compared to what she's earned in her career. Why does everyone feel like because we are fans, and buy some albums and concert tickets that she should be slaves to us and do whatever we please and make decisions based on what us psychopathic obsessed fans want to have (I'm included in the obsession part). Nothing is good enough. I am so irritated by everyone thinking that Celine owes us whatever we want to get from her.
We are so unbelievably lucky. I still cannot believe how amazing Celine is and what a fantastic and humble and smart person she is. She is always all about her fans. She has worked her freaking butt off for fans for the last 25 years! Of course she's been well compensated, but for as hard as she's worked and as many people as she's touched, the financial gain is probably not her biggest reward. I mean come on, she has been constantly working the entire time. She busts her butt on tour, she sings her heart out (yes she does lip sync of course), and she puts together great shows and great tours. I mean, come on, She's the biggest touring act of the last freaking decade, and one of the highest selling musical artists in the history of mankind.
How can any of you complain about these ridiculous and petty issues such as "oh she didn't sing every song I want to hear," "oh she sung that note wrong," "oh, the intro sucks, Rene sucks, nobody knows what they're doing," "oh the packaging is so cheap I won't even buy the product." Think about it. As successful as her career has been, do you really think that nobody knows what the heck they're doing around her and that she has got to where she is by shooting in the dark? Dumb luck? Absolutely not. Of course she doesn't do everything we want her to do, and we don't understand every decision that is made by her or her entourage. Everyone needs to stop thinking they know everything she needs to be doing and realize that she does not cater to the fans on this forum. She gives more to us than most artists ever do and we still gripe and moan and whine and continue to cry about little tiny ridiculous things. I just cannot believe some of the attitudes in this thread.
Everyone has every right to complain, like I said. I am not saying this thread needs to be scrapped, or that Celine can't be criticized or anything like that. I'm not saying we need to be blind and love everything she does or agree with everything or think she can do no wrong at all. I just think some of the issues brought up in this thread are absurd and petty and are without warrant. My heavens, try being a Whitney Houston fan right now. I just feel like we should stop being so hard on her and really be thankful we have such an amazing and talented idol to love, and she continues to work and tour and sing for us and produce music for us to enjoy. Some of us are so jaded that Celine is no longer something pleasurable to watch and enjoy, we have to criticize every freaking note of every freaking song and every freaking thing she wears, and says, and does, and doesn't do. We nitpick her to death and we analyze youtube clips and compare every freaking performance she does and practically every breath she takes is criticized. I think we'd all have less stress if we could just sit down, listen to her amazing voice, and just enjoy. Or put on her concert and admire her talent and beauty and not pick apart every single second of the concert and cry about what she does or doesn't sing, and how the package photo (as if that freaking matters a single bit) isn't her greatest photo, or the one we want to see. I just cannot believe some of the issues people are complaining about here.

No one is complaining that Celine didn't sing Think Twice...they are complaining that the people of the DVD did not put the performances of the song on TTEOTW.
No one is complaining about Celine "skipping an intro" or "skipping I'm Your Angel"... it's about the DVD producers removing the song.
No one is complaining about Celine being a dead fish in terms of stage presence, thus making her audience boring and essentially dead too...they're complaining about the producers lack of applause and audience noise being dubbed in with the tracks (for the record: I think Celine had AMAZING stage presence during the DVD).
No one is complaining about Celine looking like crap on the cover...they're complaining about of the millions of pictures they chose, they chose an unoriginal, bland, and mediocre at best picture.
Sure, there are a few people who are complaining about pointless stuff like the ending note of Alone, but for the most part, none of this is directed towards anything Celine has done. It's all about the release side.
And since this is a also a "venting" thread, I'll make it be heard that posts like the above, those that "complain about the complainers" really piss me off. This is a COMPLAINING thread. Stop trying to deny us, the consumer of the product, our right to have a negative opinion on the release.

Nothing I said is irrelevent to this release. It all ties together. This thread isn't titled "Complaints about DVD Production" or anything like that. I already said with emphasis that everyone has a right to complain, and that not everyone has to agree with everyone. I don't dispute that in the slightest. And I also made it clear that I'm not trying to shut the thread down or deny anyone their right to whine. I whined for god's sake. And the constant nitpicking about everything she releases and petty complaints about small issues really piss me off, and the complaints about those complaints really piss you off, so we're even. Nobody is trying to deny you anything.
The point I was trying to make, is that some fans here are not going to be happy with anything. We have a thread 10 pages long about things they could have done and should have done. I agree with some of the complaints, but there is absolutely no denying the fact that we pick Celine apart to death and everything she does, says, and sings. This thread isn't just about DVD production, and it certainly hasn't been limited to that. I didn't mention any of the above examples you noted so I don't know where you're getting that from my post.
Does anyone really believe that Celine didn't even bother to watch the footage or the DVD before it was released? I mean, she re-recorded vocals for the songs specifically for the DVD. None of those recordings were featured during the actual tour. Does anyone think she didn't look at the cover photo, or the tracklist, or which songs were in the documentary? You make it almost sound like she had little to do with any of this except the actual performing part. Honestly this whole thing apparently got me irritated more than necessary for some reason. I very well don't have to read this thread if I don't like hearing complaints. I just know this particular release has gotten a lot of flack as if it's some hasty, sloppy, piece of crap production and we're getting ripped off. I don't recall ever seeing a topic like this about any other release she's done. Someone honestly didn't buy it because the packaging was cheap? We're upset because aside from a 3 hour documentary about the tour, we didn't get every other random song she performed on the tour as a bonus? Come on. The complaints here aren't about DVD production problems, they are about not getting everything we wanted and crying about it. Typos and packaging and all that stuff doesn't matter at all. Do people really care what a CD case looks like, or what it's made of? Honestly? Are people that upset that their DVD case is made of cardboard? Would a gold plated cover have been more acceptable? Or that they didn't pick the most interesting photograph to put on the cover? Why does any of that matter? The concert is the point here, not the production of the DVD. This is deeper than just plain and simple production.
Just to balance things out, why don't we have a thread about only positive things about the concert, or things we really love about it? We all realize that we don't all have to worship everything she does, but if there's a specific thread about complaining only, lets have a thread about compliments only to make it fair.

First, chill!! RELAX!!
Nobody is blaming Céline for the mistakes on the DVD, we are blaming Céline's TEAM for those mistakes, which is something very different

Well said, totally agree with you
