Here is the letter to celine she put in the booklet of her album. I had never seen your face, however I was hearing myself in your voice... as if I had in front of me, a cousin I had never met, who would confort me whith this feeling of déjà vu, already known, almost a likeness... I wonder what she wrote about the other artists she covered. One thing she is certainly right about: Celine's voice is inimitable! Aretha was followed by Fantasia among many other soul singers (who were never given the chance to shine due to Ree's bitchiness), Streisand's tone is very similar to Lara's, Mariah's been emulated by Leona, Whitney by Christina, and yet no one has ever come close to having the same vocal qualities as Celine (and no Charice isn't going to be that one, just in case anyone wanted to go there) 2 Quote

And also, I almost feel in her words that meeting Céline, be her friend, sing with her, it's something out of reach to her. And that's sad.
