We met Madame Bombardier in Mexico City and also her husband. Both very nice people. She spoke to us about the book a little bit. And about the DVD too. She said this time they've let the cameras eveyrwhere. Her exact words were something like "the camera is there even before Celine wakes up!"

I can't wait to read this book. And I'm so happy I can just go to the store here in Montreal and buy it. This is a first for me Btw, if someone needs me to buy you a copy let me know.

Release date here is April 15 (from the Journal de Montreal article)

As for Wilson's book being the only good book, I disagree.    Wilson hated Céline and didn't understand why so many people loved her songs.  To him it was "the end of taste" like the title suggested.  Apparently he has come to understand why taste isn't for most people some intellectual thing like it seems to be for some musical critics like him.  I think he has come to appreciate a little bit more her music and especially Céline herself, her genuine and sincere personnality and her extraordinary journey to international success.  His conclusion and change of perspective(or understanding) about Céline and why her music and the person herself has been so beloved, her real worldwide fans have felt it for Céline and her music right away.  We didn't need to think, make extensive research or write a book.  I think he explained in a way to people who aren't that close to their own feelings I guess and love music with their minds and preconception of what should be cool, why she got through people's heart in such a big way. Those who already love Céline and feel music mostly with their heart don't need to read this book. Not everything needs to be explained imo, like love music is one of those things for me.

Sorry, I don't feel my english is as good as my french or as I would like it to be here to explain better what I mean but I guess you get the picture regarding what I think about this a little bit anyway here.

In conclusion, I can't wait to read what Denise has to say about the "Enigmatique Céline".  I've gathered from listening to Denise that she feels Céline is really what we see, hear and love..... but also lots more, lots more.

Maybe i do agree with u too as i saw her in Paris,so it means that she is everywhere interviewing fans(as u say) cuz she talked to us a bit.. who knows,but let wait for book...I cant say many things about her,if i saw her once,it doesnt mean i know sth about her..i actually dont know..

I found the publisher's website. I sent a short email to the "press" and "editor" departments asking if the book will be available in english.

So we'll see if I get an answer.

The publisher only has a small list of authors. Surely someone will email back a "yes" or "no."

wOW, I didn't know that this was the book that they were talking about.   After reading everyone's responses, this author sounds a little intriguing and I would love to see the chapter that she wrote on Rene-Charles especially.  Can't wait to see someone post about it when they get it. Sorry Alex_Incognito for repeating the "same damn thing" but I also hope that it comes out in English.  Although if it only came out in French, I would buy it even though I can't read it.  My grandmother can so I can just go to her.  She can read me a Celine bedtime story even though I'm 16 about to be 17!
