I just received a reply to my email.
From the publishers:
From: fpariente@xoeditions.com
Subject: Fw: Le Mystere Celine Dion in English?
Date: April 14, 2009 5:26:45 AM EDT
To: thatgirlmeghan@gmail.com
Dear Meghan,
Thank you very much for your interest.
This wonderful book will be published in France and Canada first (in French), and we hope it will be published in English. You will have to wait for some months.
Do not hesitate to ask me again, I will let you know if we have sold the rights to an English/American/Australian publisher,
All best,
Florence
So if you all are as impatient as I am, get the French version and get translating!
I don't want to wait months for an English edition that may not come.

Is this gonna be a "feel sorry for poor miserable Celine" kind of book? That would suck...

I'm not going to translate or read the French version. With my French skills there will probably be sentences like '' Céline kissed a verry wet frog on her front door last June '' No, it's not meant for me

She took my breath away the 2nd of June in Amsterdam

Dear Sarah,

Sure songs can lose feeling etc when translated - they have to make it fit to the music, rhyme etc. But a book doesn't have those problems so as long as the person/persons translating it are VERY fluent in both languages it shouldn't be a problem. Has anyone here read both english and french versions of Celine's My Story My Dream book and compared them?? Cos its the same principle.

Although, as it was supposed to be written due to the tour, I thought there would be a tour photo... But with this I'm satisfied.... Better than the one from the 90s
