Other bookstores I can think of is chapters and in HMV they have books too. About our encounter with Mme Bombardier it was at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico City. She was very kind to us we were a group of fans waiting to see the dancers and musicians because we knew Celine was not staying coz she flew in just for the concert (the media called it a "doctor visit" actually). Anyway Mme Bombardier told us that the book would be released in different languages yes. Of course I know this does not depend totally on her, but at least that's what she wanted I guess. We all thanked her for the wonderful interview she did with Celine , and she then managed to get us personalized autographs which were delivered in Guadalajara a couple of days later. We also met her husband by the way, he spoke English (which Mme Bombardier did not) and both of them were just super nice to us.

I'll stop by Archambault tomorrow to check out if they already have this book plus Maman Dion's DVD which it's supposed to have some footage of her following Celine around the world and some family celebrations too

Someone in the French forum has picked up the book and is ALMOST FINISHED with it---saying it's very good.  Unfortunately there are no photos in the book.

So it's rather a biography than a book which was supposed to follow Celine around the world... If it was with how world sees Celine it would have many photos for examples of her charm I guess....
Maybe he or she would scan sth (I mean not whole book but few pages)?

According to Claudine24 on the French forum, It's not a biography, it's like an essay that is very well put together. A lot of the book seems to go back to the special that Denise did with Céline several years back. She leaves the subject several times to go back to that interview.

New things, naturally, are mentioned in the book.  We learn what kind of a person René-Charles is and hear how Céline got through the tour with the ups and downs. The vocabulary of the book seems somewhat forced---so a dictionary might be handy! lol

I picked it up today, when I saw it I was like AAAAAHHH OH MY GOD  is out.
I haven't read much lol I'm just coming home. But the vocabulary is not that easy so if you're a beginner in french you'll have to get a good dictionnary and a lots of patience.

I can't wait to read it entirely. I think I will read all night long haha.

For the cover, on the fisrt cover it's the old picture (the blue one) and the put another cover on it ( you can take it off so you have the choice) The one you can take it off is the picture from You and I. SO two cover in one lol.

So I will give you news about it when I'll be finish with it.

ya two cover, here I got a lot of book with two cover. The rigid one and they put another one in paper on it. It's like for a protection kind of. But normally the two cover are the same. But not in this case.

My guest: They print everything with the first one and finally they we're unhappy with it so they put another one on it. Maybe that's why he get out later then suppose. That's my guest but I don't know.

I read some fans reviews (in French) and they said it made it seem like the tour was really awful for her. (Either that, or they said she did bad things...my French is getting worse every day it seems lol!)
Was there anything mentioned that we didn't know, about why the tour, or Celine, was not good? I know she was sick a couple of times, but anything else?

Nah, she just had lots of issues with sickness during the tour. Nothing more grave than that.  The reviewer said that her health was hard for her morale.

hmm.It's not a book which belong to The International Classic literature.Ιt's not a romantic epic novel ,a history book or   an existential nature book.It's just describes Celine's life during the tour and not only.There is no meaning that ,probably,we would miss during the translation from french to english.The facts are facts

I agree. I think that even though Celine says that she has nothing to prove anymore, deep down she still feels that she has to impress. I think what Denise is saying is that Celine comes across as a strong woman who doesn't care what the world thinks, while in actual fact she is terrified of failing or dissapointing people...

And the sickness thing being hard on her morale is also quite understandable. I mean think about it. At one stage it seemed as though she couldn't shake the infection. The moment she started performing again, the infection/virus returned... She probably started to doubt herself... wondering if she sill has it in her to do the whole touring thing. And feeling physically crap obviously does not help.

I can understand that she would feel that pressure. Wouldn't most people, in her situation? But "anguish" is such a strong word, it makes it sound like she's really suffering. Which would be awful. It scares me to think of Celine being truly unhappy- not that I think she is, most of the time. Maybe it's just the writer being dramatic with her choice of words?

I don't think anyone likes to disappoint people, but Celine does seem to have some confidence in who she is. If she didn't, she couldn't have been this successful, and she wouldn't have survived the harshness of the entertainment industry. So why is she scared of her answers to questions?

Yeah, I would agree with you.  I think we'd all agree that Celine is an emotional person, and has always put pressure on herself in many aspects of her life.  The feelings of pain or suffering aren't alien to people of celebrity; if anything, they could be even stronger, given all the pressure that falls on them.  

Imagine one person being responsible for so much.  Concerts, shows, appearances, smiling, singing, dancing, albums... all that pressure on you, almost 24/7.  

People on this forum all started posting like crazy when the photos were posted of Celine at an airport or a hotel, and NOT smiling.  Everyone wondered what was wrong, and all the speculations started.  Let's just remember she's a person, just like all of us, and full of emotion.  

Didn't we also get a great track from Linda Perry's observations of Celine:  My Love.  C'mon.  Celine was crying in the studio over the lyrics and the way Linda captured what so many overlook about Celine.  It's not too far fetched that Denise was able to pick up on things about Celine, considering the time they spent together.
