Hmm..,i hope too....of course it wouldn't be the same,but if she comes back,her warmth and everything will be enough to improve her stability on THAT stage again.It would be perfect...then it could be the same just seeing her there...like many of u said..at her home...ohh...who knows...

Celine told she has already her new baby in the ice, in NY.
I think her last date for the Taking Chances tour is around March / April 2009.
Let's imagine:
APRIL or MAY 2009 > Implant the baby inside Celine
+9 MONTHS > JAN or FEB 2010
Then she will left her new baby alone, so i think if she comes in Las Vegas, it would be:
End of 2010 or in 2011!

I don't know... I think 2009 is really the baby year. Maybe if she returns it'll be in 2011 or so.

I think the odds are really good that she will do a couple of weeks in Vegas in 2009. I hope so!!

My second stage piece is arriving today(a gift for my daughter). Never thought I would be happy to receive wood flooring. The stage is still huge but they really cut out the front and added more seating.

The Fed Ex guy knows me already after my 4th order for Celine Vegas memorabilia.
Celine is still talked about a lot here in Vegas.

Yesterday, Robin Leach broke on his blog a story that negotiations have begun to bring Celine Dion back to Caesars to headline again starting at the end of 2009 or early 2010. I reached AEG Live (which books the venue for Caesars) to get confirmation that it was in negotiations to return a Celine Dion show to Vegas. The official statement released to me:

"Right now Celine's focus is on her world wide tour. We (AEG Live) begin the North American tour in August.We love Celine and always keep the door open for her to return to Las Vegas if she wishes."

That, of course, implies AEG Live is somehow too busy and Celine too focused with the immediate future to worry about the long-term future, which, of course, is nonsense. And also significant is that this does not answer whether AEG Live is negotiating with Dion's people to return the show to Vegas?

At least, AEG Live is clear that the ball is in Dion's court about a return engagement. Of course, that has always been the case. Celine Dion was almost unique among Strip shows in that she closed "A New Day" while still able to sell out every performance.

So despite having time to send out a few score words of obfuscation (on what Celine is focused on, how much AEG loves Celine, when her North American tour starts, etc.), when it comes to trying to get a direct "yes" or "no" answer to the question of whether AEG and Dion are negotiating for a return to Vegas, it's: "The AEG spokespeople are unavailable to talk to you." I think it is true. Maybe after giving birth to a healthy baby and few months of getting herself ready. I think she will go back to the ceasar's and perform there again.

I cant wait I Know she may be far from alot of fans but the fact that us fans know where she is, what venue, what time the show starts, the stability is better for me as well  as it for Celine.... If I want to go to Vegas in March or any month I will feel comfortable knowing that shes there....But I'm looking forward to the tour first and Celine to have a few years off again

It will NOT be great! Celine performs in that country too much. Not everyone can afford a flight and all the jazz to see her singing in one city for more than one year again.

If she ever comes back to Vegas, I hope it would just be for a limited run. I'd rather see her FURTHERING HER CRAFT by producing and writing her own songs, and experimenting with new sounds for her albums.

Another extensive engagement would surely bring her more money but it wouldn't break new ground for her artistically.

Exactly. I'd hate to see Celine sinking into redundancy for the sake of $$$. She doesn't need more money, does she? At this point in her career, she should be aiming for the growth of her artistic relevance.

It just goes to show that Céline NOW has a full fledged plan as to how she will be proceeding in the next 2-3 years. It's been like that ever since 2000. It was planned that she will come back in September 2001 on the L'aDisq gala, it was planned that she will release a new album in March 2002 (she's been recording in late 2001 all the time, 26 songs!!!) and was planned how many years she will do Vegas and that she will fullfil her promise of touring again made in April 2002 on Vivement Dimanche. And it is now planned that she will come back to Las Vegas which was oh so very clear to me the first moment she and Rene said they would "quit" Las Vegas.

A big no-no, Celine. Her focus ever since 2000 has been steadily shifting from music and promoting it to family, being grounded and listening to her manager cuzz he wants more money on his bank account (a highly simplified mental string but it all comes down to this, even a child could see through Rene's strategy).

Celine remains the old one, for sure and is surely as passionate about music as it only can be but since having a child suffices her, she has indeed the guts and the comfort to say: I'm yours to command, Rene, you know the best what's good for us. And so the ship goes on. Céline only adapts herself.

It would irk me if she goes back to Vegas only to sing her signature songs again and in the dreaded nasal way. I want a jazz album in French, a collaboration with Carlos Santana for an acoustic album in English and a few songs in Spanish, an English album with a French sensibility, a soft rock sound with RNB undertones. Am I wishing for too much? lol

Are you guys serious?
I don't know how much Rene cares about money or not. She has always trusted him with the career and business decisions. But do you really think Celine is incapable of standing up to him? Surely if she didn't want to do this, if she wanted to retire or spend more time with her child, she'd tell him. She'd make it stop. She's not a stupid pushover.

Well look this is all up in the air, we don`t know anything for certain. Let`s just wait and see. As for the final show from the tour in Vegas I would definitely go to. I still have one TC ticket left
