I really hope they give us some info. soon, and hopefully have reconsidered selling tickets on Friday.
I would have loved to see a new Dragone show with Céline but If I think what they are planning to do then I can assume that it will be a big succes.
We've seen this concept in our country (Belgium) for more then 25 years now during the so called "Night of the Proms" at the end of the year. Every single year since 1985 it's been a huge succes. Last year we've got Roxette, OMD and some others performing with a big orchestra and a choir. Last year, 44 concerts were given in 3 countries (Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands) each for about 13.000 people average. On an average year about 500.000 people will attend one of the shows and it has been a succes since 1985 when it started with one single show in the Antwerp Sportpalais. We've seen names like the Simple Minds, Sinéad O'Connor, The Pointer Sisters, Tears for fears, Live, Donna Summer, John Miles, Lara Fabian, Ike Turner, UB40, Texas, Safri Duo, Roger Daltrey (The Who), Zucchero, Joe Cocker, Shaggy, Meatloaf, and many many other big names. All of them were very happy that they could perform with a live orchestra given their songs a new touch, every single year the audience is extremly happy with the performances (although everyone has someone who he or she don't like
So we've seen such performances for more then 2 decades now and we've seen that it works (500 to 600.000 people each year), while Europe isn't the USA I can assume that it will work in Vegas to.
So I look forward to the first show

Now if we could just get them to give us a bit more warning about tickets and dates...

I personally think that AND wasnt all THAT spectacular. Sure it was good, but i still think it is not something nobody has ever done. In lot of concerts you see people flying, dancer etc. All the speculations before AND were spectacular, even if you look in the fist showbook, wigs, a lot of costumes, etc. But most of it is for a concert, not a show.
But that's my opinion

I only know Ken Ehrlich from his work for the Grammy's, Oscars and some Celine tv specials, i wonder how he will do her whole show.
I only have this weird image of Celine in Vegas with an orchestra... i know she did a cool show with an orchestra at SLP, but somehow i'm afraid that vegas will be the opposite.
But let's wait and see what happens

the website is really un user friendly when you go about trying to join! they ask for address to send out a package or something? weird....you should not have to wait 7 working days to get all the benifits......I d be so mad if i joined today and if the tickets went on sale on friday.....when your travelling across the world and all !!!!ahhhhh!
I just renewed my TC about a month ago and when you purchase the membership, they immediately send you an email with an activation code to register and get into the TC website so you should be able to use the TC "benefits" right away. Then they send a package with your letter and membership card and gift in the mail.
Thanks LadyLindsey, I wonder so if I join like today , I wonder would i be allowed to buy tickets in the presale if there was one
I'm pretty sure you would be, as all you need to activate your membership is that activation code they send in the email. Let's hope we actually get a pre-sale and that the TC block of seats are better than the regular seats!
I know what u mean, I just purchaced TC acct. not sure whats in store for me, but I 'm NOT going to TChances on not getting bad seats for this one. but I will call TM/Caerars Palace.
It will cost a bomb if i ring ceasers palace from my house in Ireland! but if i need to do that to gaurentee good seats, ill have to think about it .
The moral of my story is is that i want really good seats and havnt a flying clue how to go about getting them!
well you could use a free program called Voipbuster - all it needs is a headset with microphone. You can call to many countries for free!
www.voipbuster.com
Thanks Brownsceline! That sounds great for ringing other countries. I just really hate downloading things i know nothing about to my computer. its like my pet hate
Has anyone experiience ringing ceasers and getting good seats?

Hahaha oh god this makes me laugh! Bette Midler failed?? I don't think so!! i'd love to know where they find this crap?? She made $71,815,701 in total and nearly 600,000 people saw the show! I know its nothin to what Celine made, but Celine was there 5 years, Bette was there 2 and in the middle of a recession! She was always top of the ticket ranking, occasionally falling to number two when Cher was on! Barbra would do no better than Bette or Cher, in fact I would say Bette and Cher are more beloved than Barbra, as they seem far more accessible. Just my opinion.
Celine i think should maybe contemplate something else, people will forget about her in Vegas. She needs to claim her stake in pop music again! But whatever she decides I'll go with her
Bette had 19000 seats unsold in January

I think this show is going to be a HUGE success. Celine was able to sell out night after night with A New Day...and, if she's only doing 70 shows a year, I imagine that tickets for this show will be incredibly difficult to get once the word of how fantastic the show is gets around!!
