I'm sure this is not for money, maybe for power, to show the World Celine Dion is the best, but not for money.
Can you imagine...
CELINE DION in an exclusive cabaret piece in the MOULIN ROUGE (Paris), for 1 season?
I think it would be an amazing idea!!!!!

Maybe Caesars Palace is begging her to come back next year so she can replace what they have now.
"Celine...come back...we need you here!"

So it's still not confirmed, right? In all her recent interviews she seemed pretty sure they were moving to Florida and taking a break...

I think if she goes back to Vegas, it will be no sooner than 2010, later is more likely.

CELINE RETURNS HOME TO CAESARS EXCLUSIVE & STARTLING FIRST RUMBLINGS
Canadian songbird Celine Dion headlined and broke box-office records during five amazing years at Caesars Palace and now she’s coming home to the Strip again!
Just three months ago in February she began a yearlong world tour, which is also setting records attracting giant crowds. In fact her recent two nights in Sydney, Australia has just been certified as the top live grossing event in the world by Billboard!
I’ve gotten the first rumblings on my gossip grapevine that she will return to Caesars Palace sometime at the end of 2009 or early 2010. The talks about a specific date and length of the new engagement run have just begun! Not if, but when it all comes together, it fulfils a vow that husband manager, Rene Angelil made to me at her then final Caesars performance.
Click here for our extraordinary Luxe Life coverage of Celine’s final night of her Caesars run and our candid chat with Rene.
Here’s what I wrote that weekend: ‘But even before leaving the theater at 1:20 a.m. yesterday (SUN) Rene promised me: “We will be back. She will perform again in Vegas. We’re definitely going to take off for a year after the upcoming world tour. I’ve made the promise to her we’ll try for a new baby. And then we’ll return to Vegas to perform again. Yes, maybe 2009 or 2010!” Caesars Palace president, Gary Selesner commented: “We will always keep an empty room ready for her to return whenever she wishes. They are always welcome here, they are an important part of our family now and will be forever.”
The new plan now firming up is that she will finish her current “Taking Chances” world tour as planned on Jan. 30 in Florida and then she’ll take a year-long rest between her homes in Lake Las Vegas, Florida and Montreal and maybe hopefully have a new baby to fulfill one last remaining dream. She’s just celebrated her 40th birthday and so her biological clock is ticking just a little faster these days. This week after a brief break following her April 13 Malaysian concert in Kuala Lumpur she starts up again in England with two-back-to-back concerts on Saturday and Sunday in Manchester.
I’m told the talks with Rene are underway as Caesars and its partner AEG/ Concerts West want to have it all in place when Sir Elton John ends his run and as Bette Midler gets closer to the end of hers. Luxe Life will continue to keep a close watch on this developing story for her exact return date and new engagement run details.

It makes a lot of sense. As has been mentioned before, she seems a bit tired looking in some of these bootlegs that we're getting. It wouldn't surprise me if she's finding touring the world at 40 is not as easy than it was at 31 when she last did it. I always got the impression from hearing her talk about the Vegas experience that she really loved being settled in the same city every night with her family and still getting to perform 5 nights a week. And also that she just really loved Vegas!
It has also been announced that she and Rene are thinking of having another baby. It wouldn't surprise me if she'd settle down in Vegas again to continue to raise and family and do a big show like before. More power to her I say!

When she returns, I'm sure she won't perform 5 nights a week. A few nights a week and a few months at a time... Not like she did before. She knows she can negotiate now!!

I didn't mention this before, but when I was in Vegas this february I talked to one of my friends in the colosseum and he told me that caesars were already in talks with rene to bring celine back. he told me that they needed her since no one can do what she did... they're hoping she will return a year after her tour or maybe a little more, he said (and i already knew this) that she was gonna try to have a new baby, and that she was interested in settling down after it in vegas, like she did with rene-charles... I really do think she's going to be back... it'll be really excited to know that you can go an see her whenerver you want! yay! also, I really hope she doesn't do that many shows, it's just too much for her voice...

The three best reasons to love the art of music.

If and when she does come back, I hope it is like Elton, a few weeks every few months. For her sake I hope it is not every month like she did for 5 years. I thought she may come back for a few weeks, really surprised she would do another long term gig.
I did LOVE A New Day though, that will always be the best show ever in Vegas...well"O" isn't bad either!!

I would be very happy if this were to happen, although it sounds like it wouldn't be for a while, like in 2010. Definitely would look forward to it.

Actually I'm hoping that she will perform sooner or later back in Vegas... I went only once to her show in Vegas but it was one of the most beatifull shows I ever saw of any performer...
Maybe because i'm Belgian and the show was made by Dragone, also a Belgian?
Caesar's was the right place to do it and everybody could visit it... Wealthy or not... Tickets were not to expensive...
When she performs in Vegas I have a reason to go back to Vegas, I love that city

that would be so amazing if she did - i didnt get to see "A New Day" before it finished last year so it would be awesome if she went back to vegas - i would save everything to go see her!! also it would probably be a better routine for her - not so demanding as a world tour and easier for her to raise her family (here's hoping she has another baby like she dreams of!!)

Hello,
And WHAT WOULD BE YOUR IDEAS FOR THIS SHOW?
-Do you think they should be back with "A New Day...2" (the same show universe, with new songs)
-Do you think (I do) they should be back with a brand new show?
-Do you think they should work again with Franco Dragone? (I'm sure they will).
Well, the show will take place in the Colosseum, which is Greek inspiration, then she is in the desert,
so I think Celine should do a more exotic show. I don't know if any of you does know Sarah Brightman's Harem album and show.
This is very exotic, desert and hot.I think Celine should do a show like that and a new album in English with oriental tunes.
Ps : And René is from Orient, too!

If Celine plans on returning to Las Vegas, then I think I'm going to have to take on another job to keep up with all these concerts.

I think if she does do shows in LV again that they will NOT be AND. I could be wrong but I would think she would want a change for any new LV shows.

I Hope Shes going back....But I doubt it will be a show like AND it will just be a Concert ...because the stage is smaller now where will all the dancers have room to dance in the Colosseum?
Deep Down I Have had a feeling that Celine knew that she might come back because there way too many songs that were way, way too popular and that never made it in the Show...Maybe waiting for a new show...
That's the Way it Is
All By Myself
Beauty and The Beast
A New Day Has Come (Radio Remix)
Taking Chances
Think Twice
Eyes on Me
Im Your Angel
You and I
*and many other songs that she never sang in vegas the first time around!!

This will be fantastic news......Im praying it will be true
Brand new show, with brand new dancers.
dont forget that they had decided to do "a new day" even before Rene-chales was born.
so maybe this will be the same for baby celine too......

no... they were sold with Will Call... so you had to pick them up in Vegas
OKE from another not to mention forum... it is rumoured that...
CELINE WILL BE BACK IN VEGAS As soon as 2010, during 3 years, 75 shows/month
But I guess month is year
LMAO
Thanks to CLine and Fanny for the scoop (unofficial but from a Celine's team member).
I'm not so sure about this... I kinda like the idea that Céline will be safe and sound in Vegas... but when I think of the voice problems back in the day
also... I think she deserves another break! for at least a year!!
mods, can you can the undertitle of this topic to [rumour] céline to return in Vegas in 2010] merci!
