I wish there weren't any pressure on Celine because she needs peace these days:)
It'd be nice to see her in Vegas again but we don't need to hurry:)

*Superstar singer Cher turns back time to resume her run of shows at Caesars Palace through May 24. She's completed 60 shows to date for her 200-show contract over three years. She'll perform 33 shows in the final 2009 performances starting Sept. 19 and running through Dec. 20, and then return in 2010 for the balance. Yes, for once and for all, she will be with us next year, and the remaining shows this year aren't the last ones -- just the final set for 2009! Let's hope that now clears up all the confusion from the box office release announcing ticket sales for the fall shows!

it would be great to be in vegas has be able to go to see chers and celines show, but I don;t think they'll ever perform at the same time
BTW this vegas talk is nice and all... but I think Ceasars will need to do a lot of remodelling of the Collosseum again, cos Céline will definatly want her humidifier system back, plus won't she have more theatrical features like AND again?

There's been A LOT of going back-and-forth regarding Cher's time at Caesars Palace. Multiple websites have stated she is leaving at the end of the year, others have said early next year, and other sets of people have stated she is staying. Some of the stories regarding a possible early departure have been retracted - possibly due to pressure from Harrah's (the company that owns Caesars Palace).
Anyway...as for a possible renovation to the stage - I doubt anything major will be done. I don't foresee a new show from Céline at Caesars Palace being as theatrical as A New Day... was. I see it more as a major concert with theatrical ELEMENTS thrown in here and there. As it is there is something really cool that was changed to the stage when Céline left. They extended the stage off to the side so the performer can go and actually shake hands with the people on the sides of ORCH2 and ORCH6. I'd love to see this stay. It would actually give me a reason to possibly WANT those seats. Go figure.

WTF!!!
Ah, Celine is a grown woman. I seriously doubt that Renee is PRESSURING HER to do vegas. If all of this is true, Celine must have agreed to it too. She obviously loved the vegas experience.

There's no back and forth. Cher signed on for 3 years, 200 shows. She isn't even half way through yet. It's all rumors and speculations from people with nothing new to talk about. Cher's show has been more successful than Bette Midlers show. Bette is the one about to end her run in vegas, and now with Elton Leaving as well, I wonder if they'll offer Cher the total residency for the reminder of her contract.

I'm only relaying information I've received from various sources. Secondly, Cher could very well end her engagement at Caesars Palace if she very well chose to. There is such a thing called a "buy out." Yes, it would cost Cher a lot of money, but if she truly was THAT unhappy about things she COULD do it.
Anyway...I can't wait to hear the "official" confirmation that Céline is returning to Caesars Palace! It will be interesting to see what songs are chosen and how they are delivered visually to the audiences. Can't wait!

If she has enjoyed that much the world tour, why return to a place where she has to stay at least 3 years, tied to a contract?.

Maybe I am not in the right place anymore because this forum is where fans should meet and share their enthusiasm about Celine - however, since this last tour I don´t belong to that group of people anymore. But I used too, and maybe she will win me over again on day, so.. why not
I think going back to Vegas is only logical - considering what she did for the past ten years.
Her tour was a huge dissapointment - lip synching is not allowed. Never ever. Maybe for Britney - not for "the voice" Celine.
This cheap karaoke-Vegas-on-the-road sucked big time imo.
Look at old Tina Turner - she is belting out the hits live night after night in a massive show...live, every single note. This why people go to live concerts.
Celine is shooting herself out of the first league big time - doing Vegas was probably a smart move financially - and I am sure it will be a smart one the second time again. Artistically - if it can get any lower anyways - she is once again taking a step further down.
This is what happens when people have absolutely no taste (management, herself probably as well), sing everything to get cash on board and don´t even care to deliver a good show live - no way, half playback, the outdoor european tour dates were delivered on the cheapest staging I have ever seen and a fortune was being charged.
So, doing Vegas again is logical - no substance, a little bit of glitter, buses of housewives coming to the show and cheering to a playback "the power of love" - great, once again.

Ok you can hate me for saying this... but I'm gonna say it in anyway. If that is your feeling then why do you even bother visiting this forum?
Her tour was definitely not a huge dissapointment. And I'm not interested in hearing your complaints again. I've read them all... We get your point. You thought that the show you saw sucked... But one show does not make the tour dissapointing... and it is only your opinion. But it is funny how thousands of other people thought that it was one of her best tours...

i think the tour was one of the best i have ever seen. i saw tina turner on the 11th of april in dublin and she was good. but celine was much better. in the 4 shows i saw of celine last year 3 where indoor and 1 outdoor it's true the indoor shows were much better for me. it was really a show. outdoor concert was just a singer onstage. but after seeing the indoor show 3 times i injoyed the outdoor one. and celine sounded live to me. and i believe i can spot when someone not singing live..

I would take that into this sense: what do you prefer, having the chance to see Céline in concert in your city/country, or not seeing her at all anywhere?? (my case)
You had Céline in Germany, not only once, but for 2 or 3 concerts at least. I've had her 0 times, not only not during this world tour, but NEVER in Céline's whole career. She never came to Spain in concert. So please, you should value more the time she has spent in your country. Don't focus that much on the lipsynch thing!

I understand that lots of singers do the pre-record thing but can Celine please sing her signature song live. I love Celine Dion very much and understand about her using the pre-record but I don't think other singers who are in the same league with her ever lipping on their signature songs, Whitney always sings I Will Always Love You live as well as Mariah who's lipping all the time, she still sings her Hero live in her concert.
