Celine messed up while singing

There's a performance of Fly @ Party For The Star. I always find it very funny coz she couldn't remember the lyrics, so I guess someone just pasted them onto the floor, and she was reading them while singing!!

I'm pretty sure that was it. She couldn't stop looking at the ground, and in the end she said "Fly again, don't waste your breath" instead of "Fly again, the time is right". Lol, it was amusing...

Could someone post a link to a video when she sings thats the way it is on rosie, like the performance where her shoe breaks, not the part where she shows her the heel.

It breaks right as Rosie is coming over. She isn't singing when it breaks, it is after the song is finished.

Does anyone know what happens at the end of both of these performances of Where Does My Heart Beat Now? I cannot decide whether her voice cracked, she purposely did that, the last note was playback and it skipped, or if it's just the video. Just curious. AMAZING perfomances They happen at 4:30ish and 8:01.

Eh, I would more-so consider that her not hitting a note right rather than messing up lyrics or timing or something else.

 

TTWII was always unique. It's rare to find a performance of that with nothing wrong. lol.

At 2:52 in Eyes On Me, she actually said, "better keep MY eyes on me" hehe. I don't know if that is supposed to be that way, but I highly doubt it because it doesn't make much sense :D

Eww, sorry, but it's definitely one of the worst. lol

 

She failed miserably on the high notes. That one and Oprah 2002 were blah.

 

I would give an A+ to Paris DVD, Rosie O' Donnell and UNICEF Gala....

 

Honorable mention would be ANDHC Special and World Children's Day.

Celine was disappointed with her performances during the Y2K show... technical difficulties etc... Probably why we will NEVER see this released anywhere but on bootleg DVDs.

anyways, i cant imagine her completely falling. I would have been sooo embarassed, hey after being in those heels 24/7 its BOUND to happen! lol.. I love that woman though cause she can pull anything off!

 

When i went to see her in Vegas in November 2006, she almost fall down the stairs while singing TPOL, and surprising enough there was no change at all in the voice at that split second (LOL).

She didn't mess up DWMF it was the technical stuff that failed, the earpiece I think it was. but Celine had to sing without it and she did a great job, even Martina McBride was amazed of seeing Celine singing without an earpiece.

Slightly off topic but I can't believe that some people are suggesting that Grammy performance of MHWGO is one of Celine's best. I strongly advise you go find her performance at World Children's Day for the best performance, by far, of MHWGO.

yes, you're right, it sounds weird - it was just ment ironical and I too wish her very few of these "messed up" performances. Although I'm not a singer I can image how it is if you don't hit a note like you used to. But on the other hand that shows that we are human, and we make mistakes or we don't feel so well. But that's the beauty - mainly as our world is getting more and more computerized ...

The high notes are amazing!

 

I'm not denying they are, but let's be honest...are those high notes any different then ANDHC special? No, they are nearly identical.

 

Although they sound different, they are not better/worse than the Rosie O'Donnell performance or the UNCIEF Gala.

 

I love the WCD performance, it's in my Top 5 definitely. The high notes were amazing, the rest of the song was amazing, but the ending note was weak. She held it for 3 seconds compared to the 6 1/2 she did on Divas Live or the 5 she did on UNICEF.

 

And certainly as a whole, the Divas Live performance is the best. Entire song was flawless. High Notes, amazing. Ending note, held longest and amazing. The fact that it was on the anniversary of the sinking added an emotional appeal to it that nothing else had.

 

Everyone is so biased towards WCD for many reasons. For one, the setting is a hell of a lot better looking then a talk show stage. The quality of the other performances are meh, while WCD is DVD. Celine was beautiful. The live orchestra added a new feel. I understand why people like it so much, but from the technical standpoint, when looking closely at everything, it is not necessarily the best.

i can understand why the lyrics get mixed in her head...both lines are very similar "You don't know how long I have wanted / To touch your lips and hold you tight, oh / You don't know how long I have waited / And I was gonna tell you tonight "
