The few times in 2002 when she performed "That's the Way It Is." She could not remember her words during the bridge, and she made up her own words, which did not make sense at all

 

She finally got this fixed when she performed at World's Children's Day (which was a perfect performance)

LOL, I do what I can. I just felt like going back and seeing what I missed before I joined. When I read this thread I found it very interesting and amusing. And considering Celine's done quite a bit since it was started I figured there was bound to be something since then that was messed up on.

When she was at the adisque awards in 1998, she was opening the show with terre, and she wasn't locked in properly in the globe. you can hear her say "stop! stop", and the intro plays again and she begins singing.

And it's one of my favorite songs too! JJG on the harmonica was cool. She not only misses a stanza, she then messes up the final stanza by starting the missing stanza, then tries to go back and messes that up too. She kept going though, and it was really a cool rendition. Really wished she hadn't messed up, but it's still my favorite "Le Ballet" performance.

During the LTAL concert in Amsterdam 99 (I think it's Amsterdam, could be elsewhere) she begins singing Immortality too early after introducing the Bee Gee's and she has to extend the vocal to try and find her place again.

Also, on the early performance of LBDB where she sang dressed as a man in a suit she missed her que and had to rush the first line out to catch up to the music. She nearly did the same thing during ISSW on Leno but she caught it just in time.

 

She also made some mistakes when she sang Another Year Has Gone By with Bryan Adams on the Letterman show in 1998, but this wasn't something she sings very often so it's understandable.

 

And some fans reported she forgot the words to Fever during AND one time and just made up some lyrics about forgetting words. haha

i have the GOOD MORNING AMERICA performance (of the song LET'S TALK ABOUT LOVE), taped, somewhere, where she totally messes up (lyrics), and even apologizes profusely for it...

 

it's sad, really... the pressure she deals with, each day!

 

anyway, she's always so graceful...

 

maybe it's because she's FRENCH CANADIAN (like myself) that she carries herself with such class and charisma...

aww it must be nerve racking if you forget your words on stage...guess you just think on your feet and try and make it better...!!! It doesnt bother me when Celine forgets lyrics, actually I think it's all part of performing, things are never gonna be perfect... but I saw this performance and thought I'd share...

 

 

It's of Celine in South Korea singing A new day has come...... it just well, she pretty much doesnt sing the second verse bc she forgets it and she stumbles on the chorus a lot 'I can't believe I have *shuts her eyes*' At 1.54 ish she turns to her backing singers and you can almost see her awkwardly smile! It sounds really pretty though when she starts adlibbing and lalalaing and saying 'with youuooooo' hehe.

 

She must have 'sat on it too much'- I remember she said this about songs she has sung so many times - that if you relax too much you just forget the words!

 

I must also say that Celine looks absolutely stunning during this show!! vv classy and sexy

i love the topic. it's always nice to talk about her mistakes or embarrassing moments once in awhile. but oh gosh this is really hard.

 

can't think of anything but during one of her shows in her recent Taking Chances Tour (was it in Boston? sorry i really can't remember). during the opening of the concert, she messed up in I Drove All Night. she was off-key and her voice didn't gel with the instruments. that was awful, but in a funny way.
