Why are we always comparing Celine to Mariah? Sorry, but I feel it's stupid of how we're obsessing with whether Celine or Mariah is better. I could puke with all the "Celine or Mariah" topics/posts on this forum. This is www.CELINEDIONforum.com not www.MARIAHCAREYforum.com

 

Again I apologize if this offends anyone, but we've gotta stop this childish behavior! I pretty much hate Mariah but I don't go complaining about it to the world.

i can just hope they'll delay it til after vegas but it wont happen .

A duet with Shakira would be i think. She is deffinatly not a good seller here in Britain. Il Divo was a good idea for a collaboration. (though i think a little pressure came from the fact that they were singing pour que tu m'aimes encore...)

 

As for David Foster's involvment not being required, i disagree! I think David is a fine producer and has given Celine many fine tracks. The power of love for instance...produced by David Foster! Because you love me? David Foster! All By Myself. Natural Woman. Tell Him. When I Need You. All David Foster Produced.

 

Celine has very few albums without David having prodced at least one song; Out of the nine English albums Celine has recorded, only three have had no David Foster Imput at all...one of those was One Heart...look how that turned out!

 

 

So i hope this next album has David Foster produce some of the songs on it. And The Voice, i'd wish they would delay the album till post-vages too but like you say, its not gona happen.

about david - i couldnt agree more...he is the best producer for celine and time after time he proved that NOONE knows her voice better than him . every single time he brings the best out of her.

 

as i said before - david produced some songs already for celine's next english album and i hope she'll use those songs .

yeahh that's what celine , rene and sony thought too so they brought max martin and all of his friends . people that dont appreciate her amazing voice , people that know how to work with untalented "singers" like britney but cant deal with a real talent like celine . and that's how we got ONE HEART - an album which britney could easily sing each one of the songs .

David Foster worked with Céline on Miracle, and it didn't turn out to be a better album than One Heart. (Unless you prefer Sleep Tight to IDAN, Brahams' Lullaby to Naked, Come To Me to SFL, or Baby Close Your Eyes to HYEBIL. ).

Miracle is a very good album for it's concept. if you don't like the concept, then you should ignore it.

Britney could probably sing Love is all we need and coulda woulda shoulda, although without the strong vocals Celine gives us. But those songs are really straying into the pop-bimbo teritory.

 

One heart is not totally without its highlights, there are some nice tracks there - I know what love is, je taime encore, (SFL and HYEBIL really shouldnt be counted because they had previously been on the ANDHC album) But in terms of general material, it is not a patch on any other Celine album.

Miracle isn’t without retreads either. By the time we got it, we already had Brahams' Lullaby, The Prayer (a solo version, like on Miracle), TTEISYF and HQ live versions of IIC and WAWW. So to me, there were only 7 new songs, which I didn't find good - except for My Precious One, which was produced by Peer Astrom.

If im reading the booklet correctly, Peer Amstrong co wrote the song with Stephanie Bentley and did not produce. David Foster Produced everything on the album, as there is no mention of any other producers having worked on this album bar the executive Producers, V.L & K.G & M.T

I don't see britney sing those songs, if you have heard her live (like i did) she couldn't even sing the easiest song from one heart.

 

You can't compare those albums to the albums LTAL and FIY because they were promoted very good!

 

I hope she brings out a fresh new album with a minimal foster or we will fall a sleep (miracle )

I personally think that songs written by Robert John "Mutt" Lange and Shania Twain would be awesome even though Céline does the best ballads ever, Shania also writes amazing ballads.

New english album in 2006??? oh my God, i can't believe it - i heard that Céline would like to release a new English and a new French album in 2007 - like in 2003 One Heart and 1 fille&4types. But i hope that 2006 will be the real release year!

 

I hope that the new songs will be very similar to YOU AND I, AIN'T GONNA LOOK THE OTHER WAY (woooooowww two big hit-sound songs) (You and I were the second most played song in my country, Hungary, for weeks - If Céline and her management had made bigger and better promotion for the song, it would had been a WORLDWIDE HIT ), JE NE VOUS OUBLIE PAS, Tous Les Secrets, I believe in you!

oooh my godness - I'M SORRY MODERATORS - please let me write this and i will never write about Mariah and Celine comparing

 

I dislike these topics about Mariah vs. Celine because i love one as the other! So i think these two voice and music are the biggest paradox in the world - so when i listen to Celine, after it i can't listen to Mariah - and when i listen to Mariah, after it i can't listen to Celine, because the world of their music and voice is VERY different!

 

Someone asked that which is the better: All i want for christmas is you or Christmas eve --> both!!!! but mariah's song is much more popular, and it is an all time christmas-hit -

 

But it's so important that Mariah's and Céline's christmas albums are the two best selling Christmas album of all time - this statistic shows us that both of them are same GOOD, but they are very different. I love both of them

 

Mariah can made VERY LITTLE BIT higher notes, BUT!!! Celine doesn't need any preparation to sing (remember THE PRAYER acapella at Larry King this year -it was awesom), but Mariah does. Celine has MORE powerful voice!

 

Celine does more worldwide popular music with her beautiful voice, than Mariah, but Mariah does more america-popular r'n'b music.

The Emancipation Of Mimi is awesome, A New Day Has Come is awesome too. Glitter is awesome (okey by the media it was a flop, but it was sold about 3 million copies with a really small promotion, like Miracle which also sold about 3 million records - okey i know it's a little bit different 'coz Celine didn'T expect to sale more than 2 million, but Mariah expected that the album would be a bigger hit), One Heart is awesome, so we CAN'T COMPARE THESE TWO WONDERFUL, TALENTED DIVAS! Please, don'T compare them!

 

Finally, i think Celine could be more popular than Mariah if SHE and HER MANAGEMENT WILL DO BETTER+BIGGER PROMOTION, than they did for One heart, 1fille&4types, A New day..., Miracle, ON NE CHANGE PAS - it's much more better than All The Way - okey it's french, but please do a better promotion
