He has such depth and richness. What a voice!!! Just hearing him sing can bring me to tears. (And, just as an aside, he's pretty cute). For those of you who have never heard him, just type Josh Groban into the YouTube search box and you will turn up thousands of songs. If any of you saw the movie "Polar Express", he sang the song "Believe" at the end of it. It should have been included on his Noel CD. It's a great Christmas song, a future classic, IMHO. Celine fans might be familiar with him through his duet with her on "The Prayer", both on the World's Children Day Special (2002, I think) and in Celine's CBS Special, That's Just the Woman in Me. amyja89 Posted July 2, 2008 at 10:08 AM Posted July 2, 2008 at 10:08 AM (edited) I'm just watching it now, he's talking about when he was 17 and got a call from David Foster to go and be a stand in for Andrea Bocelli in rehearsals for a concert. He said he was really nervous about singing with Celine but she took his hand and they performed The Prayer about 4 or 5 times reading the words together. Then apparently Josh was told to buy a suit because it didn't look like Andrea was going to be able to make it for the real performace, but in the end Andrea turned up and he didn't get to do the show. It was streamed live on December 2nd, but you can still access the archive. Anyway, when he was talking about the love songs on the CD and how they were about the "grey area of love", he mentioned how you sometimes feel differently about love, and that there are times when you say to yourself, "Oh, all those songs that Celine Dion sings that makes perfect sense to me...I get it now" He has such a nice voice!Happy New Year to everyone! It's true that they may have used google to translate the lyrics (there are errors and some phrases doesn't even make sense at all), but it really took some courage from him to try to sing in such a difficult language. The percussion doesn't suit my tastes (and that's one of the reasons I don't have a social life over here) but there's some orchestration there to make it up for it.
