The post is for her late non speaking English father, doesn’t surprise me that it’s not in English. I think the team is trying to stay away from super long 2 language captioned posts. It’s 2026, most of these social platforms automatically translate, I don’t see a need in a whole book of a caption. 

Her post is for her fans. Do you really think she has to post on social media to « talk » to her late father ?? Of course not. Posts are made to be read by living people…. this « letter » was just a different way to commemorate…. So english would have been appreciate. Personnaly I don’t mind since I am French, but I just try to put my feet in international fan’s shoes.

When I said they must have been a Problem is because when I saw the post it was both in english and in french and later it was in french only. Of course everything is intentional since social media is at business aim. Again, Céline does not need social media to think of her father

the original deleted post was also only on French for me. 

Of course I know it’s for the public to read but it’s HONORING her late father, a man who probably didn’t speak a lick of English and is known more by Celine’s FRENCH speaking fans. 
 

Again, it’s 2026.. these platforms translate for you without you asking them.

Tes propos sont déconnectés de la réalité. Quand on vient d'un milieu où le français est menacé, comme au Canada, on comprend que protéger notre langue est une nécessité, pas une option. Tu devrais réaliser la chance que tu as. 

C'est absurde de tenir ce discours, surtout en anglais (tu l'écris bien mais pas parfaitement)Ce que tu appelles une ouverture d'esprit ressemble surtout à de l'indifférence face à l'anglicisation. Au Canada, le français est une survie culturelle ; le traiter avec autant de légèreté, c'est nier ce combat

I think so. I am so excited! I am going to keep my hopes up 😝

Hollywood reporter and various other outlets are reporting the Oscar’s are in discussions with Barbra Streisand to perform during a memorial tribute. It states not sure if it will be just her or others will join her.  Wouldn’t it be amazing if Celine joined ?! If a comeback is imminent this would be ideal !

We will take Celine in any capacity at this point, but personally I want her return to her own stage for a full concert, be it in Vegas, Canada or LA, or France… whatever it is, if it happens it needs be filmed for a Amazon/Apple/Tv/ etc special.

Je ne comprends pas ton retour. Céline est une star internationale. A ce titre elle voulait chanter en anglais pour s'adresser au plus grand nombre. Il en va de même dans "ses" posts. J'étais très déçue à une époque que bon nombre de posts soit uniquement en anglais alors qu'ils étaient dans les deux langues jusqu'alors. Mais qu'ils ne soient qu'en français, c'est exclure une grande partie des fans qui ne parlent pas français, tout comme nous le faisons actuellement à écrire en français sur un forum en anglais.

Je n'ignore absolument pas la grande difficulté actuelle de la langue française au Québec et notamment à Montréal où la bascule a peut-être déjà eu lieu.  Et j'y suis sensible. Mais bon, pour rappel Céline vit aux USA, parle français et anglais à ses enfants, qui sont eux bien plus confortables en anglais... et il y a de grandes chances que leurs propres enfants ne parlent qu'anglais. Je ne sais pas qui est la plus déconnectée de nous deux.

Well I think it's just more personal for her to write down her thoughts in French and not meant to leave those fans out who can't speak French.And nowadays as it was said before, everyone can translate everything in an instant. And with her kids she speaks French at home. She doesn't really speak English privately.

I'm all in for a summer tour again. And about a new album, it's about time for a bilingual one. She targets both markets at the same time, don't know why they didn't do that before.

Do think it will be difficult to make a coherent one since her French repertoire lyric and music always been better.

If the rumours are true, and Celine is doing June/summer dates, then should they be announcing them shortly then? It’s less than 3 months before the beginning of June. I know the tickets would sell quick, but still….some of us would need to buy/plan hotels, airline tickets, etc. 

Also, I would think Celine would need to prove to people she can sing and give a show after announcing her SPS diagnosis. I thought the next natural step would be for Celine to release an album and promote it. Give a few TV specials, etc. Is there enough time for all of this in the next few months? Thoughts….

The event is fake. There are "One Last Ride" tours announced for dozens of artists including Metallica, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Rihanna etc. All of them are just fake events, and that isn't a real Ticketmaster link to buy tickets either. All of them are just fake/scam sites with AI images and false tour dates.

There is a rumour in the French press that Celine will do a 10 date "mini residency" at the Paris La Défense Arena, sometime towards the end of 2026, maybe around October. But it is only a rumour at the moment, nothing has been announced. It is supposedly in support of a new French album arriving this year. Fingers crossed!
