I think Celine would LOVE Olivia Dean and her energy and voice. I love her music lately.

 

I agree…. Could be lots of reasons she’s at the Palms… I know the palms is home to the recording studio she frequently records new music in BUT… I’m wondering if someone lives minutes away from the studio (which she does) why not go home after every session??

 

It’s crazy that all these videos seem to be filmed 5-6 months ago… what else has she been up to since then?

I think IF we get new music this year, I think she’ll release both an English and French album in the same year… I hope it’s a French album first but I really have a feeling we will be getting a new English/EP/ALBUM first, as a comeback they are gonna market the global appeal… honestly if they go that route I think it’s time for an old school power ballad… one that’s 4 minutes or more. I hope Celine stops chasing trends and embraces what she’s truly good at.

I’m loving Olivia Dean right now and I think she’s up Celine’s ally… I wonder if Celine is aware of her yet, if not the team should be seeking out a possible collab. This would be the perfect route to go to please her fans and appeal to the younger base all at the same time, all with like you said staying true to the Celine we know and love.

Who ever she is talking about, she always wants to duet with them.

This is nothing new.

And she never picks up the phone.

 

Same for the artists she asks to write a song.

She always jokes around in interviews, etc...

Or she wants a song of a particular style ..

 

And the outcome is always the same : she gets the song ( of course, she does: she is Céline Dion) but she doesn't do anything with it. I don't see the point.

 

2 examples I have in mind : "Je lui dirai", she asks JJG a celtic song "as a joke" on the french TV show after he sang his song of that style. What did she do with it? Nothing.

"Change my mind"... did she even mention that song? lol

 

And I am not surprised she loves "Love on the brain" ( from her lets-our-fans-die-of-despair-for-new-music mate, Riri lol)...I always thought that "How did you get here" was a spin off of that song.

Funny thing about "Love on the brain" is that the vocal production is part of the song quality : her voice blends in the music... I am sure that if they had gone for the same prod as Céline's ( dry, upfront in the mix), it would have been a disaster.

I really like "how did you get here" but vocal prod frustrates me.

 

Regarding James Blunt, "My love" has always made me think of his style ( back then).

Awww that is sooo sweet, I love Lauren Daigle, she has some good songs!

 

Like I have mentioned in one of my previous posts about the most recent video Celine posted mentioning Lauren & some other singers & groups that she currently likes, I like a few of Lauren's song myself, my favorites are "Rescue" & "You Say" (which the 2nd song "You Say", was what Celine played a snippet of in her video, & the other song "Rescue" is a VERY PERSONAL song for me, as it was released at the time years ago when my twin sister was sick in the hospital after having a stroke, then passed away not long after! I listened to that song ALOT DURING THAT TIME because of what was going on with my sister, so it was very inspirational!)

 

& of course Celine has MANY SONGS over the years that were inspirational to me & also got me through some tough times! (That is why I am glad to have discovered this forum to have other Celine to talk to about her, as it has been hard to find many Celine fans to discuss Celine with since Celine is not an active singer these days, which has been really sad to see happen to Celine & to us fans!)

 

So I think it is great to see 2 wonderful & talented female singers praising each other! We need to see & hear much more uplifting stuff like that in the world (especially with all of the dark, nasty political stuff going on in the world, sometimes we all just need a break from that crap & get some good uplifting stuff to hear read about for a change, at least I think so!) Celine Dion & Lauren Daigle need to record a duet like yesterday!
