There’s been virtually no press about the song though. 😔

 

She can’t even get decent press with a new album… what makes you think that a remix of her voice from 22 years ago will?

Almost all the major publications write something about a new album of hers coming out. With this song, I’ve only seen one article from CTV Montreal about it. With it previously going viral on TikTok, I thought maybe there would be something about it. No need to be rude about it.

I’m not being rude? Sorry if you took it that way. But my point is the same. They don’t promote Celine much at all.

Well, I expected even Billboard to write about it, as they’ve written about less important things from her. However, I wonder if Celine’s team is treating this as just a release from Majestic’s team, so they’re not interested in promoting it. Which would be silly because it would be good for her to have a big song like this. People I know that don’t really care for her music are already loving this new remix.

Maybe it will be promoted with the Met Gala press (if she is going) as it could reach out to a bigger crowd ? 🤷🏻

#1 iTunes Estonia!

It was down to #3 in UK but now back to #2!

Up to #15 in Canada! There was a small article about the remix this morning in La Presse in Quebec.

What’s cool is how “I’m alive” is such Hit among her catalog now. It’s her most watched music video … one of her most streamed songs… It wasn’t ever really a huge hit in 2002, yet it’s had staying power.

The IA video is her worst English video. Her face is so badly edited. I don't know why people like it. IACBTMN and MHWGO should be the most viewed videos.

It’s not my favorite either, though I do enjoy it.. I’m just surprised at its lasting power for a song wasn’t really a commercial success.

In Europe it was a big hit, I think it was bigger than A New Day

It was a big hit in Europe. It's not my favorite Celine song, but I like it. The A New Day performance was the highlight of the show.

Here, in Romania, I'm hearing the song if not everyday, at lest once in two days at the biggest radio station. My mom said that she hate that song because back in 2002 used to be everywhere :))

During AND there was a lot to see onstage which made it a bit more fun.

But in general the live version lacks so much power and energy.

A good musical backing track and a bit speed up would do wonders.

During her second residency, “Celine” they had it part of the acoustic set and it felt like a nursing home song-along. It was quite unforgiving.

wooooooooooooooooow !!!! this is great

especially the part with "when you call on me" chorus and "i couldn't get much higher" and "you set my heart on fire"

 

gets a little monotonous after 3 hours on repeat, but i am very happy with this "new" song.
